TTC at 42 !!!

Hi Im a newbie on here so not sure if I have posted in the right place!! I am a mummy to DDs aged 2 and 3 at the moment Im using persona to try to get pregnant, never had an issue with the other 2 fell pregnant both times in 1st month. However this time I now have a thyroid issue, Im very overweight (thanks to the thyroid) have been having irregular periods ( never before) and now perimenopausal!!!! Just been to see a fertility consultant as GP said hormone levels were too high ( sorry to ramble!) thankfully Consultant said I should still ovulate some months- persona has only picked up ovulation on month 3 so far this is now month 4. I just wondered if anyone else out there was an older` mummy ttc or who is pregnant, or is using persona to get pregnant and how accurate is it?
So many questions I do apologise.

How are you using the persona? Hope you don't mind me asking! Been ttc for 5+ years- I'll try any tried and tested method!!!! TIA X

Hi, Im using it as it says but in reverse, so if it says its a red day then we BD and if its got the ovulating sign we BD some more!!!! I have only been using it for last 4 months, they are quite expensive but I got mine from ebay its a fab gadget the first month is a pain as you have to wee on a stick 16x but after that its just 8x during the month. I thought anything that would help us get pregnant this time round is worth a try.

Thank you, and to you. I have used the ovulating sticks and they have never said that I`m ovulating so I threw them away!!!!!! at least the persona does, but it would seem I ovualte late around day 19/20 which I would never have known otherwise.
