My dp has just done a seamen analysis. He phoned the doctors to see if the results were in they said over the phone that they were normal (phew) they said that they would send confirmation in the post. He got a letter through saying dear -, you have a normal sperm count. Signed doctor ----

Should there have been more specific detail. Lots of people speak of morphology etc. I have no idea of specifics, will my doctor ask for these or will "normal" suffice?

Just ask for a copy of the results at the reception. The test results will have contained a lot more detail on volume, count, motility, morphology, ph balance, viscosity, etc. It sounds like everything is normal which is great, but if you do end up going to a fertility clinic, they will almost certainly want to see your partner's full results.
