Hi ladies....
I'm a long time lurker but felt I needed to post this advice to save other ladies with PCOS some of the heartache I've had.
In brief, 10 years TTC. 1 MMC, 2 EP and 2 early MC. 1 DD aged 2 through IVF (1st time). Currently pregnant again 4 weeks). I was diagnosed with PCOS after 1st MC and realised probably runs in family as mum and sister have it (mum had lots of MC), sister irregular cycles.
Anyway, it's taken 5 years since my diagnosis of PCOS to finally discover a total wonder drug for the condition. I can't believe it's not the first choice for women (instead I had a terrible time with Clomid and had to have IVF!). But in the space of 3 months of taking it, I've got 28 day cycles and clear ovulation assessed by blood tests resulting in my latest pregnancy naturally!!! Minimal side effects and easy to take. I wish I wish I wish I had known about it 10 years ago as it would have saved so much heartache and time.
Please any PCOS ladies out there demand METFORMIN first before you go down the major intervention route. I wish I had known to push push push for this. I wish all you ladies well in your TTC journey.
Sorry if this isn't the done thing on MN but I hope it helps someone.
