Mirena Removal - Side Effects?

Hallo all,

Have just had the Mirena coil removed in prep to TTC exciting . Now I've read plenty of threads about nasty Mirena side effects whilst in-situ. Fortunately these didn't apply to me - other than some rather painful cramps, I was v happy with mine.

Since having it out though, I'm getting some v odd twinges & sharp pains 'down below' & the worst migraines I've ever experienced. Anybody else suffered weird Mirena withdrawal & how long did it all take to settle?

Hi boy my Mirena withdrawal lasted a month, and I had pg symptoms from cd1-AF. Also headaches. And seriously painful AF that 1st month. Only really lasted that 1st month.

I had no problems when my mirena was in situ, although it took me well over a year to get back to normal after its removal.
I had cramps, vaginal dryness which made intercourse painful, erratic periods and hot flushes. Even got to the point of GP testing me for early menopause.
It was just my body adjusting to lack of hormones and righted itself in time.

hope your symptoms settle quickly, and good luck with ttc.
