am hoping there's no such thing as TMI in the Conception topic Smile...

my cervical mucus this morning is stained pink. We are ttc atm and yesterday/today is mid-cycle.

Is this what implantation bleeding looks like?

Unfortunately, it is also a bit like what chlamydia looked like when I had it a few years ago Angry.

Should I get it checked out or is it normal?

I get that once on ovulatioin for one time every month then get a period exactly 2 weeks later. with me that is ovulation I also get pains in one side at the same time and it is only one time and then later in the day is back to normal, don't know if that helps or is tmi.

I had it during early pregnancy with DS1.

Doctor checked it out and said that our lovemaking had probably been a little too vigorous causing a tiny amount of bleeding from a cervical erosion. We toned things down Blush and it didn't happen again.

CarolinaMoon · 20/03/2006 09:51

didn't realise it could just be ovulation Blush. This is my first cycle since conceiving ds and I had polycystic ovaries (so no ovulating) before I had him, and before that was on the pill for 11 years. So I've only ovulated about twice since I was a teenager and don't really know what a "normal" cycle should be like for me Blush.

Lol dejags, we weren't going at it that enthusiastically Wink.

CarolinaMoon as far as I understand, implantation bleeding doesn't happen until a couple of weeks after ovulation. For women with very light periods, it can be mistaken for a period when in fact they are actually pg.

Fingers crossed for you anyway. Smile

aaah, I see. Should have realised it couldn't be implantation yet anyway Blush.

Thanks for the info though.

pink sounds like blood .. could be cervical erosions (nothing to worry about) or just a little ovulation bleeding .. if there's no other symptoms I wouldn't worry too much

From what I understand and have experienced, implantation bleeds can occur from 3 to 8 days after Ov. (for me it was 4 days). It is once the egg has been fertilised and 'implants' in the lining of the womb. Until this happens your body does not recognise the pregnancy, it is after this that you will miss your period.
It should, however, only be a small pink/brown discharge rather than an actual 'bleed'.

Hope that helps. Not intending to build your hopes up just filling you in on some facts.

All the best.
