Hi.

I think how you are monitored whilst on Clomid might vary depending on the hospital you are under but if it helps my experience of Clomid has been;

Take the tablets CD2 - CD6
Internal scan between cycle days 2 and 5
My second scans have been on CD10. The doctor will look at how many follies there are, their size and the thickness of your lining. I have always been told to start using the ovulation pee sticks at this point. When I get a positive I have been told to have sex that day and the following day.
Internal scan CD21 and blood test to check Progesterone levels.

You might not have all these checks for every cycle you are on Clomid but you ought to for the first cycle so the hospital can see how you are responding to the drugs. In my first cycle of Clomid I responded a bit too well and for the next cycle had to cut the dose of Clomid by half. I had another scan to check on the number of follies but didn't have to have the blood test again.

I am taking Clomid as a last ditch measure before having IVF as I have unexplained infertility. Maybe the Clomid process is different for ladies with other causes of infertility.

Good luck and I hope that you get your BFP!
