Best pregnancy test for early detection ??

Hi,
Just wondered what the best pg test is for early diagnosis and what is the earliest you can test? Is it still day AF due?
Any advise would be most appreciated.

I recently used first response thinking it was the best for early detection but ended up thinking I was having a phantom pregnancy. So that's the one I wouldn't recommend!
