BFP after 3.5 years of ttc

It is amazing. We have ds who is 6, we see him as our miracle because I was told my chances of conceiving without assistance were slim to none. Now, if all goes well he will have a much longed for sibling in 8 months time.

We figured if I could get pregnant once, I can do it again. So we started ttc again 3.5 years ago, it has been heartbreaking and we decided to stop ttc a few weeks ago. On Sunday I found some IC in a drawer, just decided to test for fun. Very faint BFP, which I convinced myself was a evap line. Showed DH who suggested it didn't look like one. He went out and bought a FRER and CB Digi. All BFPs!!! I am in shock because after so many months of BFNs I had all but given up on ever getting a BFP. I tested again this morning and lines are stronger and appear within a minute of poas.

So after lurking on these boards for so long I wanted to post to give you some hope.

Good luck to you all on your ttc journey.

Wonderful news. That is so full of hope.
How do you ever stop trying though. I can't imagine not know where I am in my cycle now.

Thanks Pip and tea.

Pip - I threw away everything - thermometers, charts, opk sticks and we took a break from having intercourse for couple weeks. We had a few weeks away and DH was chilled and I was relaxed. Lots of intimacy and romance without intercourse, this eventually resumed naturally and it was great. It must have happen then. I have a very irregular cycle (21- 33 days), so unless I chart, temp and use ov sticks then I can't be sure when I am ovulating. So that made it, somewhat, easy to 'forget' about ttc and really took the pressure off.

X posts thank you cwtching and James.

We are so happy. I did have a look at the images taken during my last laparoscopy, goodness it did look rather inhospitable in there. I still look at my son with wonder because a little over 7 years ago we could not have imagined his existence. He was conceived on our honeymoon a few months after my first laparocopy.
