Ovulation sticks what does a faint line mean

Hi all, used my first ovulation stick kit thing this morning. Followed the instructions to the letter (was a cheapo amazon one). After 5 mins there was a strong control line and a faint test line. It was cd12 today.
Should I just carry on testing tomorrow etc and does the faint line mean nothing? Ie it HAS to be a strong line?

I find it gets darker until ovulation when it is as dark or darker than the control line. You might be 1 or 2 days away.

The line should be ignored unless it's as dark or darker than the control line as you tend to have some of the hormone that it's detecting in your body anyway.

You're looking for a surge and that can only be identified by the dark line.

Keep testing and the line may get darker over the next few days (or not).
