BECKIF ... Invisible?

BeckiF · 15/03/2006 11:39

I used to be a real regular on here, lots of posting etc. Then I took a long time out as TTC and failing for the best part of 10 years kind of gets you down. And now that I'm right in the middle of the most important TTC stage of my life I appear to be invisible! Come on ladies, you know hormonal we get and just how hard IVF is, so please can anyone just help me along a bit before I go nuts!

Hi Beck, have no experience of IVF but I'm sure it must be a very difficult process to go through and I can't imagine how frustrating and emotional 10 yeats of ttc would beSad. Just want to wish you well and let you know you've been heard!

BeckiF · 15/03/2006 16:29

Hi, and thanks for your response, I really was begining to feel invisible as no-one has posted on my other two postings!

Hi Becki - I remember you from TTC - I have baba 5 moths old and have gone back to work 3 days - feeling depressed and tired. How are things with you generally ?

liandme · 16/03/2006 20:59

just thought i would say hi, not had any experience of ivf but me and dh have been ttc for just over 2 years and it has been 4 years in total for me so anytime you fancy a chat [email protected]

wendy11 · 16/03/2006 22:20

Hello Becki

Just wanted to wish you all the best with your IVF treatment. We have been ttc for the best part of 9 years, so not far behind you. After 5 years of ttc and about to start our first cycle of IVF I fell pg naturally but unfortunately we lost our darling little boy at 23 weeks After two cycles of IVF in the last year - both positives and both m/c's - I know only too well how stressful and difficult IVF is.

We are considering cycling again in the next couple of months but have not really made a definite decision. I know there are others on this site who have been through IVF and will like me be more than happy to support you on your journey.

If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know.

Take Care

Hi BeckiF, no real experience of what you are going through re:IVF/TTC, but don't want you to carry on feeling ignored! I'm quite happy to "talk" to you through the TTC/IVF journey, but you'll probably not find me very useful as I'll not have much knowledge of what you are going through!

BeckiF · 17/03/2006 10:25

Thanks ladies ... I'm feeling all over the place right now. HAve been on a course of CLomid this month and though FF shows that I ovulated 6 days ago, my temps haven't really shifted up much at all and I'm dreading that I haven't ovulated at all ... it's all a bit much. BUT I do have incredibly sore/hot nipples, and I normally suffer with sore boobs befor AF and not just nipples!

blueshoes · 17/03/2006 11:23

Oh BeckiF, when I was temping/TTC, the 2 week wait after ovulation was just torture. The surge of hormones from Clomid cannot help. Sorry I don't have experience of IVF but just wanted to give you my support.

bunny3 · 17/03/2006 11:27

Hi Becki, I remember being on the ttc boards with you. I can sympathise with the clomid side effects, I hated it but it did work for me. Are you doing IVF ? If so I really hope ti works for you, 2 of my good friends have had ivf babies (both had twins!), so I know there can be brilliant results. GOOD LUCK!!

BeckiF · 20/03/2006 09:40

Hello ladies,

Well i'm on CD28 and according to FF I am 9 dpo. Yesterday and today I have had another hike in temps, quite a large jump up, so I'm not sure what is going on. My temp chart looks weird though as prior to ov my temps were quite high but i beleive this to be due to the Clomid. Therefore, although I had the dip and rise, my post ov temps aren't noticeably higher than the prior temps. Apart from these last two days! Confused? I am!

BeckiF, any news??

wendy11 · 27/03/2006 19:34

Becki

Just wondering how you are getting on. Please get in touch.

Take Care

BeckiF · 27/03/2006 22:48

Hello ... well my CD21 blood test showed that I hadn't ovulated. But FF chart says I may of ovulated on CD25, So, once again I'm 9dpo and yesterday I had a huge drop in temp followed by a rise again today. I put the drop down to the clocks going forward and my temp being about half hour early ... but who knows! I have sore nipples and my boobs seem to be getting tender. But I'm wise enough to know that my body can try and kid me all the time! It's all a waiting game!

An update. Was woken up at 4.30am with the most awful period type pains. FF says I'm 10dpo so I can only imagine that I am due on Sad In a way if I do come on it means that I DID ovulate on CD25 and the clomid did work but we were just unlucky. I'll keep you posted.

gingernut · 28/03/2006 11:44

Hi Becki, just keep your fingers crossed, even if it doesn't happen this month it may do next month Smile.

BeckiF · 28/03/2006 11:56

HI, well I've just been to the ladies and noticed some dark stains as I wiped myself after my wee (TMI, I know!!) ... so this is the usual start to my period and the pains too. Means AF is on her way, the cow. BUT it means that the drugs DID work and we have another course so happy days and luck for next time!

TearsBeforeBedtime · 28/03/2006 12:04

that's a shame about AF becki - hopefully it's good news that you ovulated, as it shows the Clomid was working?

HappyMumof2 · 28/03/2006 15:27

Oh Becki Sad I'm gutted for you.

Good Luck for next month. It will be your turn one day Smile

BeckiF · 28/03/2006 15:48

Thanks ladies .. a little part of me hopes that the smudging will stop and it's an implantation ... but I'm more realistic than that! Let's see what tomorrow brings!

OP posts:
TearsBeforeBedtime · 28/03/2006 16:22

I hope so too, Becki. That's how my PG with DS started - a short crampy light period that never really got going properly - so fingers crossed.

BeckiF · 29/03/2006 07:50

This morning I have plassed a lot of tissue type clots, so AF is underway. Yes we're disappointed but also enthused that Clomid did make me ovulate (we assume!), all be it on CD25. So my leutal phase was just 10 days and I don't know if that's normal or not! Ah well, onto the next month!

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 29/03/2006 09:11

Good luck hun!

((xx))

BeckiF · 29/03/2006 09:52

Thanks. I've noticed that this morning and last night I passed tissue and clots and that the blood was quite orangey! Sorry if this is TMI! And I would have expected a full on heavy period but i just don't seem to be bleeding very much at all ... I haven't had an early mc have I? I was only 10dpo ...

OP posts:
gingernut · 29/03/2006 14:50

Could be an early miscarriage but you will probably never know. If you don't have a proper bleed then it might be worth testing in a few days time (pg test I mean). My fist pg started with a bleed which I thought was AF but it never got going so in the end I tested and found I was pg.

A luteal phase of 10 days or more is necessary for implantation to occur - any less and it can prevent pg so it's worth keeping an eye on that.

(BTW, I remeber you from ttc threads a couple of years ago, when I was posting under the name jellycat).
