Phantom pregnancy ...

... it's the only rational explanation!

Day 36 today (usually 29-32 day cycle). BFN day 35, day 33 and day 31.

Had cramping for the past week, sore boobs, weeing more, feel sick ...

Not testing anymore ... looking forward to the phantom birth!

Any other phantom preggos out there?

BW - I had a 32 day cycle and did not get a BFP til day 39 so you never know... Clearblue digital gave correct answer first.
Am now 39 wks and definately not phantom!

Wow J - all's not lost then? Didn't want to keep deluding myself! If no AF by day 39 will use the CB digital in my cupboard. You may be my lucky omen.

with my first preg even the hospital tests came up neg, doctor believed me though and sent me for scans and an internal scan showed a 10 week old foetus. trust your instincts and push for a scan.

also try first response test, gave me a faint pos with baby no.2 at about 10 weeks

I had some 45 day cycles after BFing DS, even though my periods never actually went away... they're really confusing!

Eve the test I did yesterday was first response and it showed nothing. Starting to think I'm losing it, pulled the test out of the bin this morning and it has a very slight second line but guess this MUST be an evap line after more than 24 hours.

It's official - I've gone raving bonkers!

that's what i thought first time round too! didn't help when the hospital started muttering about 'absorbed miscarraiges' and other variations on that theme.

you're still quite early on if you are preg, i know this sounds like torture but try not doing anything for a couple of weeks and if you still haven't got your period do the test again or even get the doc to give you a blood test as thay detect very low HCG levels.

hi, I've already started a thread on here 'maybe pregnant, might test todaY' about a week ago.
I am day 34 of 28 day cycle did 2 test clear blue and first response last thursday day 29 and 2 bfn, but still no af, so in same situation I'm testing again on thursday i think.

Well Im in the waiting game too.

My cycles lately have been everywhere,last month it was 41 days,this month so far Im up to Day 51 with no sign.Took a test this morning which was bfn so I really dont know why:(

My periods skipped a month just before I conceived. I used up so many pg testers before I decided that it was just my PCOS playing up. I then must have conceived and started feeling odd. I decided that I had a phantom Pg and the Dr decided I was depressed and prescribed anti-ds!
I then decided to do one more test....BFP!

Well I hope between us that at least one of us has the pleasure of actually seeing a BFP! If no AF before I'm going to test again on Friday.

I have PCOS too and since the birth of my DD (now 2) I had managed to get AF back to a reasonable length of between 29 to 32 days. I guess I wouldn't be obsessing if I didn't think I had a few early pregnancy symptoms but could easily be all in my head! DP thinks I've gone mad!

lol at the doc wanting to give you anti-ds Spagblog!

Oooh BW - I hope I am! Good luck to the rest of you hoping for BFPs too. Am keeping everything crossed (except my legs if I go into labour this week...!)

Ooh Shanks - I'm on cd55 today and still no sign of AF. Cycles have been long and irregular since coming off pill in Oct. I even had a positive ov test over the weekend so convinced myself it's just a very very long cycle but then I read on another thread that opks may read HGC as LH so might do a pg test tonight just to be on the safe side.

I have to add that I've got zero symptoms apart from overwhelming tiredness. I'm a primary school teacher and I'm finding the kids particularly demanding at the mo!

Hi there, glad to see I'm not the only one who's left waiting and wondering. I had my mirena removed 8 weeks ago and I still haven't had an af. I've done some hpt but they've all been negative. I wish I had an af and at least we would have a starting point as to when we could ttc.

Have you started taking Folic Acid? I started as soon as I came off the pill and it made me feel like I was at least doing something if you know what I mean. I've also made a conscious effort to have brekkie every day coz I never used to. That way if I do fall at least I don't have to worry too much about what I got up to after conceiving!

I havent had any pregnancy symptoms and I havent just come off the pill.We have been trying for 2 years now.

We think its possible I have PCOS but we are waiting till we come back off our holiday to go to see the doctor about it.

I just seem to be waiting a long time this time and I wish I knew one way or the other.

A friend of mine had a BFP that showed up later than it should have on her test. They thought she may have had really low hormone levels and recommended coming in for shots, I think? Perhaps it would be worth ringing your doctor.

All this talk of waiting a few days to test, who am I trying to kid????

Couldn't help myself, got the CB digital out of the cupboard and ... it's come back positive!!!

I'm truly stunned!! Thank you to all of you for your messages really appreciate it and here's hoping it's the same result for us all!!!

Now ... DP has gone out with work and can't contact him!!!!!!!

hi Yopu posted on my thread by mistake before congratulations. don't know if you read my thread but i tested again aswell earlier and it was a bfn on day 34. I was thinking this must mean I'm not but you had bfp one day after bfn! did you use the clear blue digital for the other tests?

Hi me23 - really sorry about posting on your thread. I was reading to see if you'd tested again. I used first response yesterday and it was BFN and then tonight I've used the CB digital and nearly fell off my chair!! I had thought FR were supposed to be really good but it didn't work for me. What have you tested with?

I tested with boots own. I'ts funny how a day has made all the difference think if I havent come on in 3 days I will test with clear blue digital like you!
I was supposed to wait till thursday to test but couldn't and now I want to test with digital tomorrow but ill try to wait!

Worked due date out to be around 12 Nov! I must say, I can't quite believe this is happening as when I posted about the phantom pregnancy, I thought I was just being obsessed and was fully expecting to be disappointed!

If you do test tomorrow hope you get a positive result!

I know what you mean you must be so shocked!
I will wait two days at least I think. i'm wasting so much money with these tests so if I'm splashing out on a digital might aswell give it a bit more time.
aww your dp will have very good news to come home to.
