I was due on my period around 12th of august. I did start but it was dark brown, light and four days, compared to fresh red, flooding heavy and seven days. A week later I bled red blood for two days. Another week to today and i bled a little again this morning. I decided to take a test because my body has been so weird, feeling nausea in the mornings, pains in sides of breasts, bloated stomach and this bleeding on and off. I am on the mini pill.

This is what I got. Its easy to see to the naked eye, but looks weird, in that its so skinny. It appeared within the ten minute time on the test.

Can you get to the shop and get another type of test? Pink dye is more relabel (first response, or most supermarket own brands). It looks lie a positive to me but I'd do another test to be sure.

Good luck!

CordeliaStarling · 27/08/2012 16:23

it could be a very faint positive. you need to test again in a few days time.

LadyKopperberg · 27/08/2012 16:23

Dp has gone to get a pink dye, but I wont do it until the morning. Its so blue, but so skinny, almost like a pencil line.

I agree, looks like a faint positive. I would take another test to be sure. Good luck!

MammyToMany · 27/08/2012 16:28

I had the pencil skinny line a few times when testing with dc4 and it was positive. Fingers crossed for you.

LadyKopperberg · 27/08/2012 16:35

well DP has come back with clearblue digital. I doubt it would show pregnant if this could be an early BFP. Was hoping for an FRER because i know if there is nothing on that then this is a dud test. Will do one in the morning anyways.

Looks like a definate +ive to me.

LadyKopperberg · 27/08/2012 19:23

Well the clear blue digital was a two pack, I did one and got a not pregnant. The bleeding has gone off again, after starting this morning so absolutely no idea why's going on.

I had a pencil line with my ds1 and bled shortly after then got a proper bfp, however I wasn't on the mini pill was actively ttc.

Not pregnant on clearblue digital this morning so I guess that line is a dodgy test.

MammyToMany · 28/08/2012 08:44

I'm sorry it was a dodgy test x

PerpetualProvocateur · 28/08/2012 09:46

Sorry LadyKopperberg. Looking back at your original post, it seems to me that the mini pill might not be giving you enough hormonal coverage. I had some breakthrough bleeding whilst on the mini pill a few years back, then switched to a stronger pill, which sorted it right out.

But if you still think there's a chance you are PG, I would definitely stop taking the pill and test again in a few days. xx

LadyKopperberg · 28/08/2012 09:54

I am stuck on the mini pill unfortunately due to PMDD. I can't take any birth control with two hormones.

Having a real tough time of it, since the bleeding started I am absolutely flooding and in a fair bit of pain. Tmi but I am flooding over super plus tampons in two hours Sad i am starting to wonder if I am having an early mc to be honest and if I should stop using tampons and go for pads Hmm
