Clearblue Ovulation Tests - a quick question

Hello, just a quick question.

I did my first clearblue ovulation test today and I got the empty circle to indicate I'm not ovulating. However, when I ejected the test, the window underneath on the test holder has two blue stripes, one dark and one light. Does the ovulation test also act as a pregnancy test? What are the stripes for? I thought ovulation is indicated by either a smiley face or an emtpy circle?

The test helps you to understand the lines and will tell you if you are oving with a smiley face. You will always see the two lines but they both need to be equally dark to indicate ov. That's why the smiley helps, means you don't have to look at the lines and decide for yourself, it tells you in black and white.

Ignore the lines and just look for the circle/face. I've used these tests for many months and can't tell by looking at the lines when I am oving but the smiley face is always right!
