Hi ladies, after some advice
Planning to ttc (not first child) from mid November for various reasons. Am on microgynon for about the last 4 years since last child. Problem is have run out of pills, period will come tomorrow - so do I go to docs next week and get new supply to cover the next 2/3 months or do I go without and use other contraception?

I would go without it would give ur cycle a bit of time to get back to normal before u ttc .

I stopped in December ready to start ttc at end of may but I'm still not properly regular.

Hope you don't mind me joining this discussion. I am 29 and my husband is 31. I was on the pill (microgynon30) for 12 years straight and came off in June as we want to try for a baby (our first). So far nothing. I know it hasn't been long at all but I am worried about how long it will take for my fertility to return. I have had 3 periods since coming off the pill: my withdrawal bleed, then a real period after31 days and a second after 42 days. This may sound very silly but does having a period mean that you have ovulated? I am just starting to use ovulation prediction sticks to try to figure out if anything is happening. Sorry to fuss but I am seeing friends get pregnant all around me and am feeling very nervous x

Hi hoping!
I first came off microgynon when I was about the same age as you and that was after a 11 yr stint. I remember I came off it in June, married in July, had 3 real periods I think and got pregnant in the September. So keep positive! I think you still have a period whether you ovulate or not- but don't take my absolute word for it.
