Why is it all so complicated?

Ttc for 3rd time. Have beautiful dd (13) and lively ds (2.10) been ttc for best part of a yr but took a break in jan as didn't want to be preg on 1st holiday in 3 years regret that now
It's so tricky trying to do bd with teenager, toddler, small house & go to work...how do people manage?
Feeling so impatient now which I know is silly. But my life revolves around 1 wk trying, 2 wk wait where I'm convinced I'm pregnant, then week of testing where I'm sure this is a strange period then back to trying again.
Know this is irrational but feel as I have a teenage daughter that I'm too old to be trying & mb should be happy with my 2!

Depends how old you were when you had your first child! The average time to conceive is 13 months. So you are not actually doing badly yet. If it drags on longer then just go see your GP. These things happen when we forget about them. :)

Thanks jimmenycricket, I was 21 when I had dd so 34 now, feel old as fell pregnant 14 yrs ago, most people who have babies when young can have some time now & I'm going back to it. I love kids tho so suppose need to try & not think how things look! Think your right & I should try to stop stressing about ttc Smile

Just have sex a lot and it'll happen. Things don't always happen when you plan them but they do happen :)

Ha ha did my dh put you up to that, that's what he keeps saying! Our d(teenage)d is all for us having another but I'm mortified that she may hear us which makes it all rather complicated as she is up til we go to bed at 9:30 on a school nite we are rather boring then ds is up at 6 with us! I make sure to make the effort round ovulation time but feel I must start making more of an effort Smile

I have the same problem! DH has always been a morning (if you catch my drift Wink so how DO people manage it when you both fall into bed exhausted at 10pm after a long day at work and then at 6am your 3 year old wakes you up by climbing into bed with you?!! I feel your frustration!

ohcluttergotme · 21/08/2012 16:27

I know littlestgirlguide, my bil & sil are due their 4th & other children are 4,3 & 1...how do they find time! But at least they get evening when little ones are going to bed. We have to set alarm to 5:30 round Ov time which is very tiring & so hoped it would have happened by now. Had ds at awful softplay today and did a couple of times question my impatient desire to have another little darling! Smile Good luck with your ttc

Think my DH may have got the idea. 3am!!! Didn't have the heart to tell him I'm not ovulating till next week.

Have realised that ttc is making me miserable! Going back on the pill & have decided to hand notice into job & focus on my 2 dc hope bills love my romanticism! Grin

QTpie, you are so right about pregnancy tests, they only benefit the pockets of the manufactures! I am obsessed with them. I have 2dc so feel I should be content with what I have, I would love another but it's making me stressed & miserable & I hate my job but if I stop ttc could just about manage financially if not working! Good luck to you, it should be the most natural thing but the more pressure there is the less likely it is to happen I'm 34, feel ancient as have a teenage one! Smile

It's hard even when you're young. We've been trying since the start of the year, had a mc last week and one last year - I'm 24. Are you sure you want to give it in all in after all this time?

It sounds a good way to do it QTpie, we went on holiday in July & it took my mind of thinking whether or not I was during the 2 week wait but then ended up with bfn Sad I'm just feeling really stuck & fed up just now and confused to what is the right thing to do! Fingers crossed for you Smile
