period stopped on day 2, been feeling ill, tummy ache, and low back pain, and just feeling ill, all i want to do is lay down, then on day 7 af starrted again, but its very diffrent in colour, but its made me feel a little better.
has this ever happened to anyone, dh is very worried

why not phone NHS Direct and see what they say? or do you have a walk in clinic near you?

yes ,but feel silly, just think its to do with periods, thats why i asked if anyones period had stopped then started again after 5 days

yes, i've had similar. in my case, i went to the local EPAU as i'd mc 3 months earlier and it was diagnosed as a blighted ovum. if you are ttc, may be worth seeing your gp tomorrow

i think its an egg thats been fertilised but hasn't developed properly. just enough hormone is produced to give a positive pg test result and upset your periods, hence the stopping and starting of any bleeding. usually it comes away by itself as the hormones decrease. usually a sac forms, possibly even a placenta, but there's no embryo, hth.

Do a pregnancy test if you are ttc as it may be an early mc, blighted Ovum or even the beginnings of an ectopic pregnancy. I'd see the Gp if I were you just to rule out any of these things.

it all makes a little sence, ive been told am not ovulating, (waiting for fertilty clinci), thats why i didnt even think i could be pg,

i am still tcc, and using persona as gp says i could ovulate some months, but had no egg sign on persona, so am sure it carnt be that, can it?

I'm not sure but I think you should do a test just in case.

trace, I had this. I had a period that started and then I only bled for one day. About a week later I had tummy pain with some bleeding - it was very painful. Next day it stopped so took no notice. A couple days later I fainted at work and thought maybe I should do a pg test just to be sure as that month's af had been so different. The test was positive and the result is currenly playing in the lounge with DH. If I were you I'd do a pg test, but be open to the fact that if it's positive you could be suffering a m/c. having talked about this to gp she said that it's possible that it was just straightforward bleeding etc, or is possible that I'd miscarried a twin but would never know. please do a test xx

thanks for caring wanbe, just come back from gp, he asked if i would do a test, but said to buy one as its quicker, then go back to him,well i did its neg, (so glad realy,). the bleeding stopped, still got low back ache, hes checked me over done some more tests, swabs and things, he says it could be that my tubes are blooked or an infection in them, hes gona try and hurry my appiontment up with gyny, if i get anymore pain go straigt to a&e because it could be an eptopic, even though the test was neg, he wanted me to go now but i feel much better.he thinks its not looking good for ttc, again wanbe thank you,i think i must now think about stopping for good, as with all this on top of all tcc strss, its getting to me and dh, i just have to be thankfull i have my other children,

Trace2 - hope you are feeling ok. I ttc for 4 years - polycystic ovaries plus no ovulation. I always had painful periods which were v odd - stopping after a day, starting v (3+ months)late or after exactly 28 days.Had 3 suspected miscarriages - turned out to just be PCOS. Did 2 courses of clomid which did not make me ovulate. Gave up completely and registered for adoption. Gave birth 5 months ago today!
Know this probably doesn't help, but just to let you know that innards are weird things and not always working against you!
