Anyone tried supplements to increase CM?

I googled and saw Evening Primrose Oil might be effective, or a lubricant called Preseed? Anyone used either of these?

Hi berri I started evening primrose and starflower oil to help with my moods as I'm on fertility drugs that wreak havoc with my hormones. I had a lot more wetness in my knickers (TMI) and conceived the first month. I'm on drugs to increase ovulation so obviously they did their bit! It's my second time on the treatment after a mc Sad and last time it took 5 months to conceive. Can't hurt!!

Hi berri, we were ttc for 3 months in total, first 2 months we didn't use any supplements etc, third month I used evening primrose from start of period until ovulation (you mustn't take it after ov.), was the first time I'd noticed ewcm and got pg that cycle even though we didn't do the deed as many times as the first 2 months! Would def recommend evening primrose.

Hope that helps.

Thanks both of you for replying, I'll see if I can pick some up today.

Sorry to hear about your mc jaffa :(

Part of the problem for me is that I don't seem to have a lot of CM at the moment (not sure why as a few months ago when we weren't ttc I had lots!) so I'm not sure when I'm ovulating.

I didn't realise you couldn't take it after ov, I was hoping it would make it more obvious when I was! What harm does it cause after ov? Maybe I should wait until after my period just in case?

After ov it causes uterine contractions which is not good news if you were to get pregnant. I have always been able to tell when I'm ovulating but the evening primrose made it very very obvious - I got ewcm, had much worse ov pains etc.

Hmm sounds like a bit of a fine line doesn't it! I'd be worried that I wouldn't know when I was ov then carried on taking it accidentally. I'll start after my next period and perhaps I'll have more obvious ov symptoms to go by...
