I have been trying to conceive no.2 since January and discovered I have a very low amh (4.39/8.12 depending on which test I go by). I have signed up for IVF next month as my doc is worried my amh will drop further. I am totally freaked. At the moment I am freaked out by my low amh but in the back of my mind I have the thought that if all else fails I will have IVF, but what if I have the IVF and that doesn't work??? Given that we have been TTC to conceive for 8 months should I wait until January (the year point) before having IVF? Can there be any long term side effects from the IVF drugs? Ie can it make your situation worse? I am totally going round in circles and my DH is leaving the decisions to me so any thoughts would be massively appreciated (if the above makes enough sense to you!) Thanks xxxxx.
