Dare ovulation tests always right?

I don't think they work for me. I started them in may and they didn't detect the LH surge but I obviously ovulated as I got pregnant (ended in mm at 9 weeks). I'm now doing them again and it's not shown ovulation again.

In may I put it down to missing it as the tests were those clearblue week ones where you only get 7 tests (and in a way once I got bfp I didn't really care!) but the ones Im doing now are ones you do for the whole cycle pretty much and there's not even a faint line (it's when the line is darker than the control that the LH surge is meant to have happened, it's not any line's a line like hpts)

Is it possible I'm just not having the LH surge but still ovulating? Can LH levels be low and you can still get pregnant (I know high levels can cause miscarriage)

Thank you
