Sorry af came woody

newbie don't have a date yet. GP said to expect a letter in the next few weeks with my scan date. I am having bloods on 31st.

What were your swab tests for?

Sorry woody enjoy the diving - very envious. I count it from the first day of flow ie when I need a sanitary towel. I have 2 days spotting before full flow starts.

woody17 · 18/08/2012 08:31

I had a tiny bit of spotting on Monday then basically just brown discharge every time I wiped until yesterday when I needed a pad. Guess I should probably count it from yesterday then? I think the fact that I am going to be away from before this af ends until about 2 days before it's due again is going to help the month go by a lot quicker. FX I'll conceive an Australian baby!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 18/08/2012 08:57

If you have an Australian baby you should call them Bruce or Sheila (Blush at appalling stereotyping).

Ha ha, when...almost my thoughts, but I have Kylie in mind :-)

Enjoy Oz, Woody. I lived in Sydney for 5 months (the view from my desk at work was the Harbour Bridge and Opera House) and loved it.

winkle2 · 18/08/2012 10:47

BFN again this morning.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 18/08/2012 11:02

Damn it winkle really gutted for you. So sorry.

Thanks when.

I'm dying slowly on the inside every month that goes by!

winkle2 · 18/08/2012 11:09

Just got to wait for AF now. Whenever she decides to arrive! Hope I don't have another agonising long wait like last month.

On cd28 here.

resipsa · 18/08/2012 11:19

Woody v jealous! DH is an Aussie (DD has her own Aussie passport already). Love diving on the Reef. Sigh.
Nic my view from the MLC Centre was of Darling Harbour.
Must try to remember why we live in the UK...
Sorry winkle. Don't be too Sad.

Lolcbcb · 18/08/2012 11:40

Oh winkle u r having a pretty shitty time. Sad
Hope af comes soon and u can start working on next month.
I'd love to go to australia! Have been to the far east loads but not there yet.

NicolaHazel · 18/08/2012 11:57

I'm sorry, winkle. It's so shit :-(

I'm having the most painful, but conversely lightest, period ever. It's almost done with already. Most odd indeed.

If my OH was an Aussie, I wouldn't be here, resipsa. :-/

resipsa · 18/08/2012 12:04

The thing I hate most about this prolonged TTC business is that I've lost the ability to be at peace with myself. Here I am with some time to myself and all I am thinking about is why am I not 7 months gone (with ref to MMC). Used to love a day/night to myself but no more. Feel the pieces don't fit (and never will).
God, need to snap out of it NOW.

kittykatsforever · 18/08/2012 12:18

Sorry winkle Sad but cd28 is still pretty early I'd leave it for a good few days between tests, if you remember mine were bfn for ages and I was leaving 5 days and every time I got a neg I was bummed for the day when in the end it was positive ( obviously that didn't end the best way) but if we stick to the fact that a bfn doesn't necessarily mean its not worked yet!!
I agree on the oz front if I could I'd be there now

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 18/08/2012 12:25

Poor you resipsa I know what you mean, I hate ttc, I just can't focus on anything else while this crap is going on. Wish there was a tried and tested way to snap out of it but I don't think it exists.

OP posts:
resipsa · 18/08/2012 12:26

But Nic you've not met my (Brisbane based - dull) PsIL! Wink

resipsa · 18/08/2012 12:28

Hi when - 4 hours to self should be a dream, shouldn't it? Slightly worried about whether or not DD will sleep at all today, though!

NicolaHazel · 18/08/2012 12:34

That is true, resipsa...Oz is large enough to escape them though :-)

resipsa · 18/08/2012 13:43

Someone's having a laugh; am having hair cut in city centre. Never seen kids in there before until, of course, today. Mummy is in getting her hair done and doting Daddy is sitting about 4 feet from me holding the (gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous) 1 month old. Why am I not her???

Double post, oops. Blame the frustration at not being able to get away from thoughts of babies!

weechops · 18/08/2012 14:01

wishful have a fabulous honeymoon

woody and winkle really sorry af got you :(

I had a drunken night out with the girls last night at a new place in town called Cup. It is girlie paradise - desserts, cupcakes and cocktails!!! I don't really drink, but they were sooo tasty. I'm cd11 today and hoping to get a smiley face in the next few days on the opk.

winkle2 · 18/08/2012 15:02

Spoke to hub earlier. We're going to have Sept off TTC. We're on hols and have a couple of weddings so other stuff to focus on. We're going to spend the month focusing on getting healthy and changing our lifestyle so cutting back boozing and smoking and changing diet without the added pressure of TTC.

We both feel that something's about to 'pop' and we don't want it to be our relationship so we're going to back off a bit TTC.

Does that make sense?

Lolcbcb · 18/08/2012 15:14

Winkle I think that is a fab idea! There's a lot to be said for sex for fun!
I tried to do the same after mc. This month I've changed my diet, drank a lot less and started on pg vitamins. Then u have other things in mind
Enjoy the weddings and u never know what might happen. And protect your relationship as that is previous too. Hope u feel better after making this decision.
U are not leavjng the thread though are you? (panic emoticon)

winkle2 · 18/08/2012 16:12

Yes that's how I feel that we need to protect our relationship.

I'll prob be on here less but will check in from time to time.
