TTC#1 - The difficult fifth thread: the one where we all get BFP!

Time to move over ladies. Would love to start this thread by announcing my BFP but unfortunately I can't because we all talk too much to get to test date!

All going for gold medals in baby-making and bound to get there soon, aren't we???

I have a test in the cupboard in the bathroom - but I'm not going to use it until the weekend - coz I've got a lot of stuff going on this week at work & I find a BFN really sad whereas AF is just a bit of a pain. Especially the cb tests when it says not pregnant - like I need it rubbing in anymore, I'm disappointed enough as it is without it written infront of me!!!

So I returned from the doc's with pessarys to use - never used before so this could be interesting!!! Lol!! DH is being a star, really supportive & lovely about it, I'm feeling especially guilty as I've given it to him 3 times so more treatment for him as well!!

I'm on a 1ww at present & trying to think positively without going barmy. Mixed success..!

Adjusting the gym regime til we know for sure.

So that includes -not- changing the water bottle on the cooler at work

Morning all, fertility doc was just on BBC this morning and they were talking to a lady who TTC for 12 years :( then she had a son on IVF after 132 embryos were placed unsuccessfully!!! Fx we have better luck!!

Bloody hell, lets, that's extreme! I won't be able to have kids by then!

This morning's spice jar still had a label on! It was Basil. It claimed to be "great for summer". I figured that's what I'm hoping. Sadly, a negative. Well, at least the control line was nice and dark...Onwards and upwards! Today is cycle day 27, 15 days past ovulation, and the day Fertility Friend thinks my period is due. I usually have more like a 29 day cycle so I'm unconvinced. But we'll see. One test left, as DH bought the Superdrug ones but only one packet in his optimism. The only trouble is waking up to pee at 7am before alarm, but can't go back to sleep because have to test. I do have cramps so maybe period will start today and save me the thinking about it (and let me go back on the gin for a week).

I ignored all my own advice and googled things. Now of course convinced I will never be pregnant. What an idiot!

Hope AF stays away then Talyra, then you could test again at end of the week. Or Saturday to avoid the alarm issue!

Morning! - sorry for your negative Talyra, but as dulcet said, you could still re-test at the end of the week - its still early!

This 2ww is a killer! -(sits on the naughty step for symptom spotting) but I did see the first response kit that said it can be used max of 6 days before your af is due! anyone bothered with these? I'm not too sure if I believe they can work that soon?

Happy Birthday Blockette! I know, DH wants me to wait and not keep on testing all the time. But it's hard. The 2ww is the hardest thing ever. And I think because it's my first cycle trying part of me believes it must have worked, the way you think when you're trying not to get pregnant that you can't take the slightest risk.

I could pretend I'm not symptom spotting but I've been Googling "earliest pregnancy symptoms", "symptoms immediately after ovulation" all morning. Silly really. I do feel a bit "achy", more on one side than the other and I felt like I was a bit hungover this morning despite not having any alcohol yesterday. Everyone talks about boob changes, mind you, and despite examining my boobs in great detail any time I'm in front of a mirror I can't see any sign of anything looking different.

Happy Birthday Blockette hello everyone else! Been for 21 day blood test. Asked the nurse if she could recommend a vitamin to get AF started but she didn't have any suggestions, only suggested I paid Holland & Barrat a visit. So, 4 more working days to go :) phew!

BTW I'm loving all the symptom spotting ;)

yeay! Purple we will have to poas at the same time! - I've been just the same with my boobs and after getting disappointed that they are still stupidly small, they have started aching these past two days - not that I'm symptom spotting of course!

Just realised you have all written CD but that won't work as that changes every day!

At the risk of sounding like a broken record...Blockette I will get my blood results on Tuesday when I have my internal scan...cannot wait (and nor can everyone else on here so that I can stop talking about it :) For those wondering how long blood results take I'm told they will be back on Thursday however my GP receptionist is unable to read results so I'd have to see a doctor anyway. I may aswell wait and get all the results in one go ie I'd rather live the next few days in hope that I may have ovulated :-/
