Hi,

After a long time trying and my first month on clomid, I have a BFP!! Wow!

I have no idea what I am supposed to do now. I have been spotting since the weekend, but this isn't unusual for me. I can spot up to a week before AF.

Its not fresh red spotting like I normally get, but it is pink and usually after a number 2.

Any one else experienced this? I am going to wait a few days before getting a drs appointment as it is very early days.

I have had this with all my pregnancies, regardless of outcome. Sometimes it's even been dark red bleeding with clots.. she's now nearly six! It's always worse with a bowel movement - something to do with pushing stuff out partly.

If you're really concerned, you can usually convince a GP to give you a beta HCG blood test. You need at least two, 48 hours apart. It'll tell you how things are progressing. Or go to A&E and get referred to the EPU (Early Pregnancy Unit) who would do similar. If you're post 5-6 weeks, they may do a scan.

Good luck!

Thankyou for your replies. I will wait a few days and I have some extra tests which I'll do later in the week. It's interesting how much bleeding can take place and still be a viable pregnancy. When I see my GP, I will mention that blood test if they haven't.
