hi all im new to the site. Ive been on the implant for about 2 months and had 2 periods, the only problem is the blood is realy dark red and the period pains are realy bad were im doubled over in pain. But i had period pains yesterday so would be 3rd period and normaly i start bleeding that same day or in the night and nothing. I felt sick yesterday morning but nothing come up i was just reching ,and my boobs are throbbing like when your baby is due a feed ,thats the only way to explain it . Ive been moody and had had aches but havent felt like this the past 2 periods just realy bad pains, has anybody noticed this or could i be pregnant?

Not the implant but the same stuff injected.

I had a period every day for 4 months. Irregular and sometimes heavy bleeding is a big side effect.

If you are brave enough google it Sad

I'd go back to the FPC or your GP and ask for advice.

me and hubby are thinking of having another baby so if i am pregnant it would only be a shock the fact im pregnant on the implant. I cant remember my last period dates but im guessing the begining of the last 2 months but as ive said ive had pains but no bleeding which is for me not normal .

This happened to me. My periods were all over the shop and I'd often get months with a combo of pre-menstrual and pregnancy type symptoms with no actual period to show. Even after 21months mine didn't settle down, in fact my last few periods have been worse pain and flow wise and my PMT has been through the roof so I decided I couldn't take anymore and got straight into the family planning clinic to have it taken out. The contraception advisor smiled knowingly at all my symptoms and said yes, a lot of women find it too much to bear. I'd hoped to be one if the lucky few with no periods but alas,no.
