Sooo, did a poundland test with fmu on fri morning before going in the shower, control line came up and nothing in test window, so flung it down, got ready etc checked it again bout 5 mins later ( I think) still nothing,,,,, came home a few hours later to a feint pink line, I did another 2 other tests last week and still have them and they r completely white 100% no lines anywhere in the test window, I know the only way to find out is to test again, which I will but what's everyone's thoughts, experiences of this?

Unfortunately anything after the 10 minute mark should be discounted. It could be an evaporation line, some do have colour. Not sure about pound land tests as never used them but in general a line that appears outside of the time window should always be treated as a false result.

I would re-test with FMU and time the 5 or 10 minutes and if nothing throw the test away. It will only drive you insane looking at lines that may or may not be correct. When's AF due?

Thanks mooley, I came off the pill at beg of July and haven't had AF since so no idea where I am on my cycle, I'm planning to re-test in a day two if AF doesn't arrive x

Hi luckylam I don't know much about this but I bought some tesco pg tests and they said that you should discount the result after 10 minutes. I found with them that a very very faint +ve line appeared after 10 mins and I wasn't pg.

Maybe try again - fx for you

Only ever had one false positive on cheap tests tbh, there was certainly a pink line (after the time), although subsequent tests were negative. I gave up in the end although a week later I felt all dizzy in the supermarket and decided to get another test (boots one) that was + and ds2 is nearly 3.

No idea what the random pink line was about, was far too early for a + really, although never had that before, just evap lines that I convinced myself were real Confused.

Good luck anyway Smile.

Hi luckylam

The only time this has happened to me I think it must have been an evaporation line because i got a bfn the next day. Having said that you hear all sorts of stories that do ens with a happy BFP. Test again and let us know how you get on. Good luck x

Thanks girls, think I'll wait another couple of days to test, had a chemical pregnancy a few years back so I'm scared to test too early, if I wait till Friday that will be a week
since last test x
