just found out that a close family memebr who is only 18 has premature ovarian syndrome. basically is going through the menopause

the first thing i thought of is that she will now probably not be able to have children. she is only 18 so i don't think this has even entered her head right now. does anyone know anything anbout this or her prospects aside from motherhood?
i am really close to her (like a second mother) and feel ill equipped to support her without some real knowledge of what this means.
