Only taken her 4 months, I've been trying for 18! She's going for her scan tomorrow and I'm dreading how I'm going to deal with it ;(

Swallow back the lump on your throat. Smile and congratulate her.
Then go home and do what you need to make yourself feel better. (cry, eat cake etc). I've watched 11 friends all fall between 1-3 months in the past 18months so I'm a pro at dealing with this. Remember you don't want their baby, you want yours. I find that makes it easier.
Rant whenever you need. I know how you feel xx

Poor you, 11 in 3 months! I've had 4 in 12 months and that's been bad enough.

Yes I'm smiling, I'm making the right noises, I don't begrudge them their baby. I just want mine.

I know how you feel, my colleague is pregnant and allow she is lovely, she has mentioned at least 100 times that 'it worked first time' and that they were 'amazed at how quick and easy it was to get pregnant'

If it's any crumb of consolation, this happened to me, only the other way round.

I got accidentally pg, then had to tell my lovely best mate, who had been trying for years.

I felt awful for her. True to form tho she was unbearably sweet about it, and still is. And I still feel guilty

I can see this one from both sides - took 2 years to conceive ds and everyone seemed to be having babies around me. It was awful and can def feel your pain!
Now considering ttc number two but worried that I might fall preggers more quickly this time and my poor sister in law has been trying for ages and mc twins. Have even considered putting it off a few months in the hopes she falls pregnant in the meantime! Dont want to make her feel like I did but then you can't put your life on hold can you? Very difficult!
