How/when did you decide to stop TTC?

I'm 41, have 3 lovely DC and have had 4 MC trying for a 4th.

Irrespective of age, number of DCs or MC, how did you decide to stop TTC and how do you feel about the decision now?

Am really sorry to hear about your losses & decision to stop TTC. That must be an incredibly hard choice to make.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to let go of trying for another baby, despite severe early PE in my 1st pregnancy ( my DS survived & spent a long time in hospital), then having a m/c at 7 weeks (later diagnosed as molar pregnancy) & my 3rd pregnancy was a missed m/c at 11.5 weeks ( despite a good scan at 9 weeks)

It's almost illogical that we've decided to try again, but ultimately I don't want DS to be an only child. Despite being 40, I get pregnant easily so feel I should give it another go.

The conclusion I have come to is that until the distress of m/c outweighs my fears about DS being an only child, we'll keep trying.

Not sure if any of that helps, or is rational

We've been trying only ('only') a year but I feel like its never going to happen. I'm actually OK w that, its the not-knowing that burns.

Pretty ready to give up now cos the alternative is just too hard.
