TTC after MC - how does it work?

Sorry I'm a bit stupid with this! I had a MC last week. They couldn't find the heartbeat on my first scan. Took some pills and they did an evacuation on Thursday in the theatre. How soon can you fall pregnant again? Do you have to have a period first before you can fall pregnant again?

some people ovulate as soon as two weeks after so you can get pregnant straight away.
some doctors think you should allow yourself a period (some docs say 3 cycles) before trying but its mostly for dating reasons. as some people take longer to get back to a regular cycle. i think its a personal choice and you should try when your ready, but do remeber it could happen straight away so be careful if this is not what you want

I know exactly how you feel, I was pregnant about a month after but worried the entire time but it was all fine. I'm in the same boat again now, I'm having all my vitamins just to be sure. It sucks.

Sorry my post wasnt clear! I actually just had a stillborn baby and im trying again without waiting. I previously had a miscarriage at 16 weeks and conceived a healthy baby straight away! Good luck, it's a horrible time. I'm taking all the vitamins and trying to keep healthy, I couldn't find anything definitive that suggests this should be a problem.

i think theres some evidence that shows in the first i think 6months after mc you are more fertile and more likely to have a healthy baby. i became preg in the 2nd cycle after my first mc but that one wasnt ment to be either

That's a shame, yes I read a Scottish study that said the first six months was the best, it's so unfair though. Have you had any luck since cartoon? Have you had any testing done?

well its been four and a half weeks now since my d&c from 2nd mc (blighted ovum) i did not try in this first cycle. my first af since came over the weekend ive been 'lucky' both times that my cycle seems to snap rite back to normal. im seeing dr shehata on the 9th of aug. i decided to go private instead of waiting to have another mc for nhs testing

My cycle started yesterday. I had a fright as the bleeding stopped on Sunday after the evacuation on Thursday and yesterday there was quite a lot of blood. Phoned gyno and assistant said that is my next cycle because usually I am around the 26th. Going to try to talk to a professional now. I am very down and feel a bit panicky.
