Bfn but no AF??

Am confused. For months I've had a 27 day cycle. Today is day 29 and still no AF.
I tested yesterday and got a BFN. I have incredibly sore boobs and don't feel like AF is on its way. Has anyone been pregnant but got a negative to begin with????

I don't have anything useful to add but I'm really glad you posted this as Im the same! Been ttc for 18 months, I'm 3 days late but got a BFN on fri. I'm now crossing my fingers that AF stays away and I get a BFP tomorrow when I hope to re-test! Although there could be many reasons for a late AF, I'm sure there will be many stories of an initial first negative, before a BFP? possibly not enough hcgh(?) for the test to detect yet? Are you hoping for a BFP? I've heard that hpts that use pink dye are more reliable if that helps? Fingers crossed for you!

Think is I used a pink dye test yesterday at 12 dpo and got a negative.
Will test again tomorrow like you!!Grin

My cycle isn't as regular as all of you, but last 2 cycles (thanks to metformin) are have been 30 days. Today is 37, but still no bfp. Weridly I had a similar cycle this time last year, was convinced I was preg, but AF arrived on day 45.

With my DS I think I saw a pfp at 10/11 days. However I am sure there are people on here who have told hopeful tales of experiencing what you have said...

Whilst AF isn't here, it is nice to think/dream/pray isn't it...

I posted a similar thread on here and pregnancy, I usually have 25-32 cycles, mostly late 20's and this last one I'm on cd39 tested bfn until sat cd38 then a very very faint + and again today, this is 16 days since last dtd!! I'm trying not to get to excited because it seems so strange and the line is so faint but af still not here so I will see what happens, there was a few others on mine that had the same, see threads when was the latest you've had a +ive and in pg faint line...... But not the usual

I got a bfn at 13 dpo then my bfp at 14dpo, all is not lost!

Your giving me hope! No sign of af at all - not even the tummy ache I get a few days before.tested this afternoon though 13 dpo and still a bfn

I just tested again and got a BFN, still no sign of AF and I'm around 17dpo Sad. I just want to know!!!!!
How's everyone else doing?

Could you have ovulated later than you thought? I would keep testing every day or every other day if you can manage the wait for the rest of the week. If still no bp or af maybe see a doc. Good luck and keep us posted!

Well I just got a bfp cd41 on a usual 32 max cycle so weirder things can happen, good luck to everyone waiting

Another day, no sign of AF (unheard of for me to be so late!) but another BFN this morning. Started to get perfumey taste in my mouth yesterday so perhaps a sign?!?! Seems like there's a few stories of BFNs before a BFP so am cautiously optimistic! Will test again on thurs, basically will keep testing til I see a BFP!!!

Good luck ultimate I think the lack of at should be seen as a positive more than the bfn. It could be a false negative. Keep us posted!

i have been the same except i have not had an af in 45 days! but keep getting bfn!!! so unusual for me to be this late!

Hi, I had BFN's for weeks with my dc1 - finally got a BFP on day 62 but as it turned out I had ovulated late. So there is definitely hope. Strangely I am in a similar position as you this month. I am now on day 41 of when for the past six months or so I have been pretty much regular 32days. I've been having cramps like af is on the way for a week now but no sign:( Had three BFN's so far:( But don't feel pregnant. Desperately clinging to the hope that i could still get a BFP but after 2 years of ttc this one I'm not that hopeful!

Really hope you get your BFP - the perfumey taste sounds promising. Keep us updated x

Hi girls, I'm in a similar situation, stopped taking cerazette at end of June and am impatiently waiting for AF or BFP, planned on not thinking about it too much, no rush etc but failing already Angry

Lucky, that's normal - it can take a few months for cycles to kick back in after coming off the pill. It took 4 months for me the first time I came off and 2 months the second time.

UltimateDetermination No not yet but have an appointment in 2 weeks! Long to wait then will have to wait again for blood results! Dont think i can wait soooo long as i eagerly want a BFP! Trying to cling on to hope just like DeekeyDo but want to protect myself from the disappointment of a BFN.

I'm in the same boat. AF is 7 days late and no AF. Tested this morning and BFN. I came off the pill in April. Maybe it takes a while to get stabalised? Very frustrating.

Sounds bizarre but I can't believe so many of us are in the same boat!! I'm going to think very positively, I think we are all preggers and there's been a huge QC problem with a batch of tests which is why we keep getting BFNs!! Grin I just went a bit crazy in boots buying every type of test they had! Darn you BFP, I WILL get you in the end!!! Hope everyone is managing to not freak out waiting, I have everything crossed for you all Wink
