Implantation bleed?

Hi,

I'm new and desperate to conceive. This is month 3 of TTC and I noticed today some brown mucus discharge (tmi) - I am 8 dpo with a regular 28 day cycle. AF due Saturday.

Can I get my hopes up that it's an implant bleed?? :)

Hi student, it sounds very much like an implantation bleed to me, right time and mine was like brown cm for a day or two, I think if af does not show a full flow as it were and dries up then id be inclined to do a test in 3 days, fx for you

Thank you for your reply! Trying not to get hopes up...Wink
Anyone else had this and then a bpf? X

Tbh don't think implantation is that common, only 20% that said I know two other people who have had them, both said thought it was start of af but early and didnt go anywhere, there is nothing you can do but wait really but I'd be secretly getting very excited, its difficult to say yes yes your defo pg or anything as I'd be worried if I got your hopes up and then it wasn't but from what you've described it does sound like my experience of one

Thanks kitty kat. Going to try not to get too excited and test at the weekend if AF hasn't come Wink

Yes, me.

I did my third cycle of IVF and bled from day 12 to 14 after egg collection (ovulation). I had also had spotting 9dpo.

I did actually get my BFP 10dpo, after the spotting but before the "bleed" so I was terrified I was going to lose the pregnancy. But it was old blood from the implantation bleeding and I'm now 7+6 with twins!

If the bleeding is definitely old blood AND doesn't progress then yes, it is possible it's an implantation bleed.

Good luck and hope it works out well for you.

Thanks knackered cow. It seems it's more common than I thought. Had no spotting since so who knows... Will keep you updated Grin
