Faint line...how faint?

Hi all, I've just POAS for the first time this cycle; AF is due Thurs or Fri. I had a MC in May so am desperate for this to work.

I can see a very faint positive line, but it's reeeeeally faint. If it was a BFN, would you be able to see any second line at all, even the very slightest hint?

Thanks all, and sorry, I know this has been asked many times before!

I had a very very feint line. The sort you can only see if you turn it this way and that, I was actually about to throw the test away in a huff when i saw it. That feint line is now pretending to be a lion by growling on my windowsill.

Longdistance · 24/07/2012 07:31

I had a feint line in 2009.

She's definitely not feint now :)

Longdistance · 24/07/2012 07:32

Just give it s few more days, and then get a Clear Blue digital one.

zookeeper · 24/07/2012 07:32

another faint line here that has turned into a feisty ten year old. Fingers crossed for you!

JessieEssex · 24/07/2012 07:41

Thanks all, I've read so many times about faint lines but never had one until now (my very strong line is currently singing Wind The Bobbin Up!) so didn't know how faint we were talking!

Ooh how exciting Grin

Make sure you come back to confirm Wink

JessieEssex · 24/07/2012 07:45

I definitely will come back and let you know - I get excited by all the other threads like this, it's time to pay you all back!

My 2010 very very faint line is liberally smearing breakfast into the dining table.

It sounds very positive! Test again with morning wee tomorrow and the line should be stronger.

I had a faint line on one test and a non-existent one on another. She's 17 mo now :) Try the boots digital ones, I found them way more accurate. Good luck!

cupcake78 · 24/07/2012 08:06

Yep my faint line was up at 5am telling me the owl had told him it was morning time Wink.

JessieEssex · 24/07/2012 08:42

Thanks all for your encouraging stories - feeling a bit wobbly because of the MC and I really hope that I can enjoy this pg (if that's what it is!)

Congratulations Jessie and Willow, hope they really are BFPs. My AF is due Thursday and I got a very feint line yesterday - yes I know I should have waited Blush

I am really hoping it is BFP. I have a 20 month old DS but had a MMC prior to DS and had an ectopic in March so am feeling very very cautious about being excited in any way. Hve not even told DH, going to wait till Thursday and retest then. Wishing everybody luck!

Pontouf · 24/07/2012 09:48

Do you have any other symptoms by the way?

JessieEssex · 24/07/2012 09:52

I've been weeing a LOT but nothing else. Don't remember any early symptoms with DD though, until the morning sickness kicked in at about 6 weeks... Good luck with your retest pontouf - I'm going to try again on Thursday too...

Pontouf · 24/07/2012 09:58

Thanks! Good luck for Thursday Smile

JessieEssex · 25/07/2012 08:44

So...I couldn't wait until Thursday and POAS again this morning. Line still faint but I think it's stronger than yesterday's. Can I be a bit nutty and put a picture up of it for the MN jury to look at...?!

Elkieb · 25/07/2012 08:46

Yes please Smile

zoeymlucas · 25/07/2012 08:46

Yeah put it up and lets see - it always helps to know other people can see it, lol!

How about buying a clear blue digital that says pregnant or not pregnant?

Dexidoo · 25/07/2012 08:48

A line is a line! Congratulations!

JessieEssex · 25/07/2012 08:50

Thanks - I'll put the pic up now - and zoey I'll definitely get a digital test later - just want a yes or no, not a maybe!

I poas 10 times as line was so feint, and ended up with 10 sticks each a shade darker, before I belived I was pregnant, DP, thought I was crazy (he said he couldn't see a thing) he can't bloody miss the grump, climby, bitey 16mth old now ;)

zoeymlucas · 25/07/2012 08:53

My test this month was a hold it up to the window, squint and turn it super faint line so I bought a clear blue for it to say 'pregnant' cant really argue with that!!! Like you I had a MC in May so know how hard it is and how you pin all your hopes on this, so chin up it does work I am now 7+1 weeks xx

JessieEssex · 25/07/2012 08:54

Have put the pic up now - having done so, it suddenly looks a bit darker!
