testing for the first time this month using opk, on cd 14 today and have had three positive opk results cd12, 13 and 14. is this quite normal? thought you only got a positive lh surge once and then it goes after a few hours? advice needed!

Was wondering what your periods are like because if they are irregular in nature, this sort of thing re these kits can happen. If your menstrual cycle is irregular avoid using such kits because they are really of no use in such circumstances.

These kits anyway are not without problems; such kits assume that there is one rise in LH every month and that such a rise is immediately followed by ovulation. Both of these are simply not true.

I had that once. Most months I only get one day of surge though.

done a bit of research www, and it said it can be caused by your body about to ovulate, then somethings stops it releasing the egg , then lh rises again to release egg properly causing a 3 day surge....not going to bother poas tomorrow as will stress me out

I had that the month i got pregnant and am now 9 weeks - still not sure why!

I would disagree with Attila thought that OPK's are not useful if you are irregular - on the contrary i would say they are more useful as you really don't have a clue when you will ovulate without them. They were a godsend for me - have worked a treat both times i got pregnant as my cycles vary between 21-38 days.

congrats bazzle, fab news! have just another opk exactly same time as previous one and has come up +ve again! 4 in a row, crazy hormones!
