How do I 'hide' people on Facebook

I've a few friends who are gloriously posting about their pregnancies practically every hour. I don't want to delete them but I've read here you can 'hide' people's updates.

Can someone tell me how to do this? I know I'm being a bit of a wuss but I need a break from all the pregnancies around me!!

I totally understand what you mean.
Go to the person, click on !friends" and it should come up somethinh like "show in news feed" and you need to unclick this.
