Hi everyone newbee here
Had copper coil removed last week mid cycle as want to try for baby number 2 . Took a long time with 1st one, took 2 years in total and had miscarrage inbetween.

I have felt rough since having it removed last week, stomach feels really bloated, had period like pains on and off and i feel a bit light headed. I wanted the copper coil so ttc would not be ruled by hormones.

Has anyone else had simliar symptoms on removal of copper only coil?

Probably not helpful but when I had my copper coil out I had no symptoms at all. Only thing that happened to me was that cycle was slightly longer than normal (i presume the 'disruption' delayed ovulation). I hope someone of more use to you will be along soon!!

I read these first two posts with interest! I had my copper coil out in June and didn't really notice any symptoms apart from slight cramping and spotting for a couple of days. However my period was subsequently 10 days late - this has happened before once or twice so I didn't connect it with the coil, instead I became half convinced I was already pregnant, and started obsessing over symptoms such as cramping, queasiness and bloating. I thought it was all in my head, but it seems fair to suppose we'd get some weird effects from all that internal rummaging. Hope you feel better soon OP!
