Bit too scared to do a test, what do you think?

I only finished bfing my baby a month go so have had to periods since I got pregnant (baby now 8 months).

I started my last period 2nd July. From the last day of my period (6th July - 11th July) we have had unprotected sex. We also had unprotected sex for about a week before my period. I'm not due to ovulate until later this week I think, but yesterday I started getting period type cramps (only for about 2-3 mins) and felt very queasy for a couple of mins.

Surely I a)can't be pregnant and b) it woud be too early to have any symptoms?

Thank you.

Only one way to find out... POAS!

Always a chance of a pregnancy if you have unprotected sex.

Babylon1 · 15/07/2012 13:05

What sillybeardydaddyman said! POAS!!

TurkeyDino · 15/07/2012 13:07

Probably a bit early to know either way but entirely possible if you've been having unprotected sex and you don't know what the pattern of your cycle is yet.

Thanks for the replies all....will let you know once I do the test... (gulp)

I love a good POAS thread Grin

Alabama100 · 15/07/2012 13:59

Pretty sure I'm not as I haven't ovulated yet (I think) but we've been rather careless about having unprotected sex recently. Would like another baby....ths would be slightly too close together for my liking but it would only be 6 months earlier than we're planning.....

...will poas in a couple weeks around the time my period is due and update you all.

The first few periods after a baby/breastfeeding can be a bit erratic. Having a child can also change your cycle and your usual period symptoms. So it might all feel rather unfamiliar and unpredictable.

However, POAS is the only way to know for sure.

Good luck over the next couple of weeks.

Alabama100 · 15/07/2012 21:49

piprabbit I didn't know that.....so I could have ovulated ealy/later than mid cycle? Okay.......slightly nervous..........will keep you all posted.

My cycles lengthened a little and my periods themselves were shorter and heavier. They also became more predictable - once I realised that my old assumptions no longer applied.
Just to keep new mums on their toes!
