Have I tested to early or is BFN right???

Hi Ladies, I'm on CD 22 of my 24/25 day cycle, was having loads of pregnancy symptons and am heading away for the w/end with friends so decided to do a test first thing this morn...it was a Tesco HPT and I had read on other posts to give it at least 15 minutes for the result to show.....did all that.....and still a BFN :-(
Could it still be a bit too early to test AF isnt due until Mon/Tue next week...or am I just being hopefull??? Would it have shown up even at this stage???

I'm on day 29 (miracle as last few cycles have been 24/25 days like you) and am also going on a girls weekend so did a test and also got BFN. Have been trying for 2 and a half years with no BFP so wasn't expecting one but am annoyed that I will no doubt get my period and all the pain I get with it as I board my flight in the morning!

In theory I don't think it would be too early to get a BFP now but everyone's different so I think you'll just have to wait a bit longer...sorry!

Yeah its a pain is right, we have just started TTCing so I shouldnt be expecting a BFP so early on I suppose, it tooks us 2 years to get our DD2, and its just the thought of starting this whole process again (especially after DD2 I said thats it, no putting myself or Dh through the stress of that again and was grateful for DD)but now we're starting to get broody again and we said we would just give it a try, no charting, no counting days, just try and see what happens....so trying not to get annoyed about the BFN.....but yes mine will probably appear as soon as I put my foot into the spa and I'll be a bag of cats for the rest of the w/end....and I think you're probably right, it wouldnt be too early to get BFP at this point, and I can find the witch on her way too.....ah well.....Cosmo's all round for me at the w/end! Thanks for the reply, good luck with the TTC, hope it happens for yas soon....and enjoy your girlie w/end away......

Just wondering if there is any news with you Caipirinhas??? Well I got back from the girlies nite away and still no sign of af, waited it out till Wednesday, so I'd be at least 2 days late! Did another test and low and behold, there it was a BFP!!! Cant believe it really, had a complete blow out at the w/end too thinking this is going to take MONTHS and MONTHS so might as well enjoy myself.....just hope all goes well now, having a bit of cramping (which I dont remember from my other two pregnancies, but then again, the last one was 4 yrs ago, so cant really recall....) anyway just wanted to wish you luck Caipirinhas.....

It does sound like it could be too early to get a true result as opposed to a genuine bfn....try testing tomorrow or Sunday using one of the more sensitive tests. Good luck!
