Does anyone know what I should do? Have done 4 pregnancy tests even one this afternoon, clear blue digital. But just been to the toilet and i'm bleeding. Does this mean i'm miscarrying?? Any realy upset.

It doesn't necessarily mean you're miscarrying, no. Lots of MNers (myself included) have had early bleeding in a successful pregnancy. It can be an implantation bleed, it can be "unexplained".

Calista · 02/03/2006 20:29

Aw, Mower Sad
Sorry you're going through this worry. Is the bleeding bright red? It could possibly be implantation bleed. Have you had any pregnancy symptoms yet and if so, are they still there? Lots of sympathy. x

SoupDragon · 02/03/2006 20:29

Thinking about it, I've had bleeding to some degree or another in v early pregnancy with all 3 of my pregnancies - all 3 were successful.

Debbsy · 02/03/2006 20:31

mower
Not necessarily it could be that you are in the very early stages of pg and that the hormone level isnt strong enough.
How much blood are yopu losing?
What colour is it?

mower · 02/03/2006 20:32

Was def feeling sick this afternoon and feel sick now, but don't know if that is because I feel sad. Just been to the toilet, there is no more blood yet. Does anyone have any advice on what to do?? Do I just wait and see what happens, don't think I'll get much sleep tonight.

Sometimes the horrmones arent strong enough to stop you from bleeding even when pregnant.Dont get too upset just yet,vut i would seek medical advice.
((((((hugs))))))

mower · 02/03/2006 20:33

The colour is quite dark blood, just looks like period blood.

OP posts:
Debbsy · 02/03/2006 20:34

How late were you when you found out?

Debbsy · 02/03/2006 20:36

trace2 · 02/03/2006 20:50

oh mower, i know its hard but just relax, it could be an implantation, or like deds said, if your really worried go to gps, i will keep my fingers crossed for you,

mower · 02/03/2006 21:00

cece · 02/03/2006 21:14

Good luck for tomorrow.

spod · 02/03/2006 21:18

oh mower, i hope you're okay. I bled with my last preg and all was well... it was around 6 weeks... how many weeks are you, about 5 am i right? I know lots of people that bled a little when period was supposed to happen, but were pregnant and fine. I would go to Gp to reassure myself, but if you still have symptoms thats a good sign, the fact that its old blood and its now stopped is good. hope you're ok

Piffle · 02/03/2006 21:22

mower a cautionary word hopefully not going to happen to you but to be aware
Watch out for one sided pain.
I had a bfp then the next day had a bit of dark red brown bleeding which settled after one trip to the loo.
At 3am I woke up in such agony, convulsed and was rushed to hospital, for emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. I was very close to not making it, with no warning.
So please keep an eye out - I do not mean to frighten but feel obliged to tell... Sorry..
I am really hoping that you are ok and that your pregnancy goes ok :)

spod · 02/03/2006 21:23

blimey piffle, thats awful, sure mower wont mind you warning her.

mower · 02/03/2006 21:31

Thanks for warning me, I shall be on the look out. Am trying not to be too sentimental about it and what will be will be. Have a lovely ds whos only 5 months, so have plenty of time for others. Just wish I would know one way or the other.

Thanks for your support though.

Mower i had a mc at 5.5 weeks mine started with very light spotting of light red blood & just got heavier & heavier, so as your has stops may be a good sign....

I wish you all the best just try & relax Smile

trace2 · 02/03/2006 21:39

here mower i will send you some glue, try and hold in place, good luck

beartime · 02/03/2006 21:55

Ring NHS Direct and see what they say - probably they will tell you to ring your on-call at the surgery, as that is what I did. Then they may send you for a early scan if your pregnancy test was definitely positive. I went for two scans, and they told me you can come in again if you need to. And I said how bad should it be before I come in again - and they just said, if you're worried. So if I were you I;d ring your surgery. My pg was fine though even though I bled several times, but it was good to have the reassurance of the scan.

pussycatmomma · 02/03/2006 22:10

Thanks for all your support last night. I managed to actually get a good nights sleep. Didn't bleed any more over night but have bleed a little more watery dark brown blood this morning (sorry TMI), but been feeling sick still this morning. Got period pain type things around where my c section scar is. Am really confused, its such a waiting game. Going to the dr later.

OP posts:
trace2 · 03/03/2006 09:47

glad you had a good sleep, please keep us imformed and i will keep my fingers crossed.

Piffle · 03/03/2006 09:51

Def get checked out for ectopic honey. Doctor should flag that up anyway, usually it involves a blood tests to see hcg levels and an internal scan to locate site of the embryo but they do not routinely scan before6 weeks.
If he tells you to sit and wait for bleeding to stop or start do not be fobbed off.
I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks 3 weeks ago, it was virtually pain free so pain should be investigated
Sorry I probably sound like a nutter mower.
I really do hope everything is ok for you

NatalieJane · 03/03/2006 09:52

Sorry to read this Mower, I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
