Advice needed from CBFM users

So today, CD 12, I got my first peak on the CBFM.
Problem is that I don't normally OV until CD18 - 20. I am sure about this as I temp and have been using OPKs.
No other signs suggest I've about to OV. I did an OPK which was definitely negative and I've had no EWCM.

Is it normal for the CBFM to get it wrong on the first month?

Oh, and I can't DTD anyway as DH has an SA on Saturday so no sexytime until after that.

And, I forgot to temp this morning!

Hi Pipbin It may be that the monitor has registered a peak but your levels are in fact higher than that (if that makes sense) it can take the monitor a few months to 'get used to you' OR you could just be having a shorter than normal cycle.

Also remember that the CBFM doesnt tell you that you've ovulated, merely indicates that OV is on its way. I think its something like between 12 and 38 hours.

Ive been known not to have a temp rise for several days after my peak.

Could you link to your charts so we can see whats going on?

Pipbin · 12/07/2012 10:06

I see what you mean. My peak is not the same as someone else's peak.
My charts are at www.fertilityfriend.com/home/pipbin

I'm thinking it might just be it getting used to me.

So my other thought is that will the CBFM decide that I've had my peak now and not want me to carry on testing?

I think you may have ovulated early this month!

As for testing, it'll ask you to test to the end of the last block of ten

Pipbin · 14/07/2012 11:35

I will wait and see what happens with my temp I guess. I hope I didn't ov early as we couldn't DTD.

So the CBFM has gone back to low but my temp has dropped so I'm sure I've not ov'd.

The happened to me this month. Monitor gave me an early peak on cd13 - I wasnt expecting it till a week later. I'm now cd37 and still no sign of AF and BFNS left, right and centre.

winkle2 · 15/07/2012 10:58

And it was also my first month of using it.

Pipbin · 16/07/2012 07:10

I'm now sure I didn't ov when it said. Temp is still low. I've emailed Clear Blue but their response was to the effect of 'the CBFM is never wrong'.
Sounds like it might be the same for you winkle.

Still no sign of AF here. CD 38. Off to docs this week.

Pipbin · 16/07/2012 12:54

Well I've just got off the phone from Clear Blue. They said that because my CBFM has detected a peak then that's it for the month. I asked of I could reset it and fool it into thinking it was CD6. They said they wouldn't recommend it but it's up to me.
