Cerazette and missing period

Hi,I really need some pearls of wisdom as am going slowly mad.
I stopped taking cerazette in april after taking it since the birth of my ds in 2006. I had occasional breakthrough bleeding but had no problems with it really. I stopped taking it couple of years ago for about 3 months and had heavy painful periods so went back on it. I stopped taking it in april as we decided that we would like to try for a third baby, however I have not yet had a period. I have the feeling that I am going to get a period but nothing happens.I had a light brown bleed a couple of weeks ago but it was nothing like a period.I never thought that I would actually want to have a period so bad!

I have read lots of stories on the internet about periods taking 8 weeks or so to return but it has been longer than this for me. Is this normal??
I keep worrying that I am menopausal even though I am only 36, but I have no other menopausal symptoms. I was treated for endometriosis and had ovarian cysts removed before I concieved DS2,but that would not cause a lack of period?

I know I should go and see my gp but I know that she would refer me for a blood test . I would be devestated to be told that I was menopausal as I have put off trying for a third child due to other medical circumstances that I already feel very bitter about. I know I would struggle to cope with bad news .

Sorry this has been so long,I suppose I just need to hear from someone else that this has happened to and that they have gone on to have a pregnancy.
Strangely at the moment I want a period not a positive pregnancy test as at least I would know that I am ok .
