What question do you wish you'd asked at the outset re IVF? Another Appt this afternoon

Hi, to cut a long story short I've been incredibly unhappy with how quickly I've been pushed into IVF by the last consultant I saw without any discussion or explanation [who also told me at 35 yrs old my eggs are all crap and I shouldn't expect to get to ET] so I've requested a meeting with another consultant to get more information as he gave me no facts to back this up, which is this afternoon.

I've got my list of q's ready so I can understand how relevant his opinion is and why he came to that conclusion, why there is no toher option but IVF without any further investigation etc and also q's about short vs long protocol, what I can be doing to help etc but I just wondered if anyone had any 'I wish I'd asked...' questions to throw in the mix?

Thanks in advance xx

I would ask:
Have you had,an AMH test and if so what was the score?
What is your antral follicle count?
What are your FSH, LH and O2 count?
How do these results compare with others?

Thanks CareBear I did have an AMH [4.22] which I know is low but I recently found out I only have 1 ovary [again long story, Ectopic went bad 14 years ago, they told me they'd took the tube but the ovary was fine, turns out not!] so I'd expect it to be quite low as its been holding the fort for nearly half my life, but I though that was indicative of quantity than quality?

I only had FSH on my list Grin
