I'm at work, AF due tomorrow, which is also the anniversary of my mc last year, have been TTCing since then, half the women on my floor at work are pg and all day there have been looooong conversations about babies, weaning, pregnancy, baby showers etc., and they are still ongoing in the next cubicle as I type. Fucking fucking fuck it. Gah! Anyone else feeling crappy today?

I was feeling crappy yesterday, does that help?!

I'm sorry about your loss, that must be so hard!!

Come join us on the brooking thread, we like to periodically bitch about TTC!!

Oh and can I just point out AF is only due tomorrow, but it could however not arrive :)

philbee · 04/07/2012 16:06

Yes it does, thank you. Tbh, I don't really even let myself think AF won't arrive now. It invariably does. Will check out the brooking thread, thank you. :)

It is a very stressful thing, isn't it? And then it goes on for months and years! Mostly I keep on top of it but I find the phenomenal fertility of my colleagues quite wearing.

Lisamol - sorry to hear about the baby shower shopping. It's rubbish to feel conflicted like that, you want to be happy for other people but it's hard to manage it all the time.

Am home now so feeling better. Will pressure DH to reveal where he's hidden the chocolate.

I have also had a really crappy week, AF arrived Tuesday taking us one step closer to IVF which was due to start next cycle. I have been in tears most of the day trying to arrange counselling, speaking to nurses, repeating day 2 blood tests I mean WTF we are about to start IVF, do they really need day 2 bloods???- finally bottling out and putting back our start date by a month, and then arranging to go back to speak to someone at the centre about options. AAAAAAaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I have come home and treated myself to that book, I hope it is worth the hype and cheers me up.

hey wanted to say i too am thoroughly miserable, ttc for 8 months was v hopeful this month before af arrived today very early- cd 25 and only 9 dpo. terrible cramp too just to make it worse and im on a train and no painkillers till i get home.
sorry about mc philbee, ttc is bad but that is worse. the fact you can conceive though must give hope xx

SecretSparkle · 05/07/2012 09:27

I'm not sure any amount of TTC would induce me to read 'that book' assuming we're talking about the same book!!!

Cristelle sorry AF arrived. are you sure you ovulated when you thought? it may be that you've ovd early!!!!

Spare a thought for long cyclers (and I dont mean on a bike) I'm on CD22 and absolutely no sign of OV (with average 14 day LP) so I'm heading for a cycle of atleast 37 days :( most people have already finished a cycle and started another one by the time I've hit mid way!!

philbee · 05/07/2012 12:10

Well, AF arrived this morning, dead on CD28 as always. At least it came early and I wasn't waiting all day. secret - a long cycle must be very frustrating, what a pain. Mine have been 28 days every month for the last six months, which seems a bit odd to me - they've never been like that before.

It took four months to get pg last year and I have a DD (3) and it took three months to get pg with her. So something's changed, and these weird regular cycles make me think so as well. GP has referred me to have my tubes checked now but it will take a few months just to receive the appointment. Bah!
