Hooray possom - glad it's confirmed! So pleased for you

I've been reading a thread about symptoms but -ve test and a few people ( well one person) saying they didn't get a bfp until af was about a week late. So of course I'm getting my hopes up again - that's the worst bit for me - getting my hopes up and then the disappointment when I'm not pregnant. I've already gone through that once this cycle with my mad testing, I hope I don't again. COD for me if af does come!

Lots of testers coming up. Good luck today winkle are you testing today too or waiting?

wunny I don't think I've spoke to you before but I'm sorry to read of recent events and sending you wishes of strength. Hope things get better for you soon.

backwardpossom · 05/07/2012 08:25

Nope, no sore boobs and in my last two pregnancies I knew I was pregnant before I tested because of the boobs. You realise this is the start of the craziness?!!!

redstrawberry · 05/07/2012 08:28

Congratulations possom so pleased for you! Have you shared with DH? :) Did you have similar symptoms to AF?

I have woken up feeling very ill - painful sore throat, sticking to honey and lemon and hot drinks, but does anyone know if I can take pain killers? Not sure whether pain killers, EPO and pregnacare is a deadly cocktail and will it screw up my OV? Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

wunny I cant even begin to imagine what you and your family must be going through. Take each day at a time and stay strong x

lollypopsicle · 05/07/2012 08:42

You can take paracetamol but that's about it!

redstrawberry · 05/07/2012 08:51

I have been taking painkillers yesterday evening and this morning :( :(
I have been DTD EOD and think I might have just screwed up my chances this month. I am really pissed off with myself. Just read that ibuprofen can affect implantation and OV both.
I am so ignorant - arrrrggggghhhhh!!! I am on CD9 and expecting OV between CD12-CD14 :( does anyone know if I have messed up this cycle?

OP posts:
backwardpossom · 05/07/2012 08:59

red don't worry. I had ibuprofen earlier this month and look at me...

redstrawberry · 05/07/2012 09:04

Its a relief to know backward did you take it before or after OV? Some sites say it can cause infertility. I am worried I might not ovulate this month.

OP posts:
backwardpossom · 05/07/2012 09:05

Before. And it was one of those massive pink extra strong ones, too. I didn't know they could affect fertility?!

redstrawberry · 05/07/2012 09:11

Yes, apparently it can affect fertility.
Under medicines and drugs NHS advice

I feel so stupid - so close to ovulation and I might have messed it all up :(

Good luck with the interview winkle

Yaaayyyy! possom so glad you are now confirmed with the Bfp. Congratulations.

And congratulations on all the other BFPs too.

red .. Don't worry too much, I am sure it is more prolonged, intensive use of drugs that make a difference. A few tabs during a mild illness will hardly touch the surface. I took sinutab all last week as I was convinced no Bfp was coming, and decongestion tabs are a major no no, but everything was fine! As we all keep saying, you still have to live your life while TTc.

JazzyTTC · 05/07/2012 09:48

Can I join in pls? Planning to test on July 14th if no AF. But I already feel AF like pain, not cramping technically though. TTC 3rd cycle.
Wishing everyone loads of baby dust :)

PatsyPlusOne · 05/07/2012 10:00

Hello ladies, not posted on this thread before, but DH and I are ttc DC2, have been 'at it' (!) since Feb, with no luck so far. So this month I used the clearblue OV tests and we targeted our activity around the smiley face :)

According to :) I ovulated 9 days ago and for the past few days I've had a strange sensation in the womb srt of area. It's not as crampy as usual period pains, more a sort of stretching sensation, so for example if I take a big stride when walking it feels uncomfortable. No other pg symptoms yet, but wondered if it could be some sort of implantation pain? Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Or am I just getting my hopes up like I do every month?

Any advice welcome!

redstrawberry · 05/07/2012 10:11

thanks ted I re-read the NHS advice and it says "high" dosage so I guess I should be okay as I haven't taken that many.
Must calm down!

hi patsy your symptoms sound good - fx its implantation pain!

Hello jazzy make yourself comfy :)

Thanks so much for all the congrats! RIBS asked what worked for me, well it was the first month I used ferility friend, though without recording my temperature, just keeping a closer eye on CM (and finding out you usually OV on the last day of EWCM). I haven't taken anything except folic acid (like previous months). I DTD EOD - and kept this up more regularly than other months. Congrats to possom and good luck for the interview winkle.

resipsa · 05/07/2012 11:04

possom congratulations! fab news.

Well, CD30 here, af due this afternoon. Feels like it is coming, eeek. Everytime i go to the loo i just hope for the best...

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 05/07/2012 11:51

Fx openminded. Are you testing tomorrow if no af?

On 6 DPO today and all the cramps that felt like implantation have disappeared today. Think it much have just been a bit of backache Sad. Getting really obsessive with could I be preg or not preg running round in my head constantly. I was no where near this bad last month.

I really don't want to test before af due but I can't see how I am going to avoid an early poas moment.

OpenMindedSceptic · 05/07/2012 12:20

whenshewasbad yup, if no af i will test tomorrow. Try to keep yourself busy and avoid your local pharmacy to prevent early testing!

resipsa · 05/07/2012 12:57

Lisa - just signed up for CB trial. Hey, why not particularly if they give you some free kit!

Whenshe was - like you, I've got "backache"! 4DPO and counting (sooooo slowly).

RIBS · 05/07/2012 13:19

Right then open. It is officially afternoon!

Still no sign??

Hope she stays well away. oOooooooh is this another BFP coming up.

Im only bloody 2 dpo. Had all sorts of wierd pains and aches in the innerds. It cant be anything happening yet, too early for implantation (surely) i think its all the prodding an poking at my abdom area last night from the acupuncturist. Did I mention that he suddenly started showing me his kung foo moves in the middle of the session? I swear I couldnt breathe for laughing!! The guy was pushing 70 and imitating Bruce Lee! Hysterical.
