wishful kitty am realising that asking you for help keeping away from the sticks is like asking Oliver Reed to help you stay sober. Grin

Will try and listen to winkle instead.

snowcloud · 09/07/2012 22:29

Can I join? Really really hoping for some good luck at the moment. xxxxxxxx

likesoxinbed · 09/07/2012 22:56

Good luck Newbie!!

Wishful - step away from the test sticks!! That's coming from someone who often opens their Xmas presents in the afternoon... when the rest of the family are champing at the bit before breakfast..

CherryBakewell my thoughts exactly. But then you need the internet access to set up your 'giving page'. Sad. Am sure there are people in desperate need of help but they're not on here bleating about it - they're too busy trying to cope. :0(

Thanks for the encouragement. Am hanging on in there. Only a week to go. ONLY. LOL.

likesoxinbed · 09/07/2012 22:58

Sorry, hello snowcloud.

Welcome to the lucky thread. :)

winkle2 · 09/07/2012 23:12

Welcome snowcloud!!

Hubby and I have agreed we'll try for one more month and then it's off to the docs for us :(

I'm so desperate for a baby I found myself imagining what labour would be like!

winkle2 · 09/07/2012 23:12

To add: I was imagining that whilst on the bus - obsessed? me?

CherryBakewellPie · 09/07/2012 23:32

Haha don't worry winkle, I've already completely planned the decor of the nursery! (Boy and girl version) including specific pieces of bedding etc Blush

anyone else got any obsessive confessions to share?

YikesHereWeGo · 10/07/2012 06:43

Morning all!
love it Cherry, you sound like you're all sorted then for when the little one arrives :) I don't think I'd get round to that level of detail until the child was 18 or so!
hello snowball - good to meet you, hope you get the luck you deserve.
whenshewas - so, are you gonna test?!
I did another test this morning, there was definitely another feint line (and when I say feint I mean feint), but for some reason until I see a reasonably dark line I daren't say anything to DH. I think I'm 10dpo today (cd32), although FF says I'm 9dpo. My temps and opk results didn't match up this month so it's difficult to tell exactly when I ov'd but I did think I felt ov a week last Sunday which would make me 10dpo today. I don't feel any where near as excited as I did last time when I found out I was pg but then that's obviously coz I'm so worried about mc again (got to 10 weeks last time). I feel completely different this time around, no sore boobs at all, just very bad skin, poke-y pains in my right ovary, metallic taste in mouth and I did fall asleep during a gig on Saturday night.
Hopefully I'll get a bit more excited when I hopefully see a darker line in a few days. Think I'll buy a couple more tests (superdrug ones, as people say they're good) and test on Thurs & Sat too. It would be so nice to be pg now. It would kinda be our honeymoon baby (I was on my period on honeymoon but this was first post-wedding ov) and March would be a nice time to have a little one (I think I've got over the disappointment of not having a 2012 baby!)
Good luck to the rest of you testers, 2ww-ers and everyone else.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 10/07/2012 07:26

I cracked and tested bfn. Oh well.

Newbie2 · 10/07/2012 07:26

BFN :( a long 2ww to confirm nothing! Feeling mega frustrated because AF has not arrived!

Out of curiosity how do you all know wunnybunny story was made up? I can't believe someone would go that far! I wanted to talk to DH about it but then realised thy would mean mentioning my secret addiction tomumsnet and I can't go down that road Blush

Newbie2 · 10/07/2012 07:27

Me too when

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 10/07/2012 07:37

Poor you Newbie and with at late too (so cruel when that happens).

I am only 11 dpo today, am convinced the bfn is correct but I am hoping for a longer luteal phase this month. Since bf my only real luteal phase was 11 days long.

yikes it is good to see your line is still hanging in there. 10 dpo is quite early, hope it darkens up soon.

winkle2 · 10/07/2012 08:19

Sorry for bfn yikes and newbie

Yikes - I really hope that line gets stronger and darker!

Well you know what I'm going to say don't you?! STILL no sign of AF. Cd32. I feel like a broken record. Why do you guys put up with me?!

Newbie2 · 10/07/2012 08:27

Whenshe This will be my 3rd cycle post pill. AF did not turn up on Cycle 1 and now Cycle 2 but I know I ovulated cycle 2 - cd 16 because I used CB ov sticks. I've read that other ladies have been through the same and not had AF visit for 3-4 cycles but still fall pregnant. I'm going to start using a CBFM in the morning and just pretend AF has arrived...do not want to miss my high fertility days like I did last time!

resipsa · 10/07/2012 08:30

whenshe, the God of Google says it's best to wait until 13/14DPO so hang on in there. I'm 9DPO and imagining a whole host of symptoms here. I can't bear to see a BFN (especically after seeing a BFP more than two weeks after an ERPC in March) so am going to hang on until after 15 July (Sunday) when AF due. Definitely have sore boobs but that's probably cuase I poke them every five minutes to check that they are still sore. Doh!
likesox - we're the same - I am a great believer in delayed gratification.
winkle - I think going to see the doc is quite empowering (god, I sound like a bad self-help book) cause you feel that you're doing something. As I suspect I've said before here, the month we were getting tested was the month DD was conceived. It's as if the lifting of the pressure makes it happen more easily. It makes me laugh to remember going to see the doc at CD21 to be told "well, you've definitely ovulated". Yup, I definitely had.

Newbie2 · 10/07/2012 08:31

winkle do you normally expect AF by now? This is cd 30 for me but I've decided she's not coming! Don't want to get caught out like I did last month and assume I would not ovulate! Luckily managed to just catch ovulation but wouldn't want to miss the days leading upto again!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 10/07/2012 08:34

Wow winkle still no af. How many days post ov are you now? The combination of bfn and no af is hidious. Hope you are ok.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 10/07/2012 08:38

resipsa thanks I am pretty sure I am out but only peed on an Internet cheapy (is meant to be extra sensitive).

You poking your boobs made me laugh.

kittykatsforever · 10/07/2012 08:45

Sorry newbie and Whenshewas Sad
Yikes I've read a few people say that they never get dark lines on the Internet cheesiest, I think it's time for the digi but test tomorrow morning!
Winkle what can be going on !? So strange that the monitor said you ovd so early, it practically told you af was due a week ago?!?

winkle2 · 10/07/2012 08:51

I'm about 19 days post OV! This happened to me back in April too. Not sure if it happened in may as well because we weren't tracking OV.

Feb and marchI had normal cycles - AF turned up 14/15 days after I got a smiley.

Pissed off with the stupid monitor! Spent nearly 100 quid on it and I'm still not pregnant!!

kittykatsforever · 10/07/2012 08:51

Resipia- the boob prodding is very funny, I got pg first time the month I made a doctors app, infact it was the doctor who told be to take a test because I was trying to tell her when last af was and said it was earlier then it ever is and wasnt like a proper one, then I said I got a +ive ov test the first day I took it cd13 when it's always 17/19 then she said are your boobs tender and I was like hmmm now you mention it! Did a test there 7/8wks pg!!! I like to think it was the pressure off x

kittykatsforever · 10/07/2012 08:54

Oh and doctor said I wasn't the first that had done that with her!

Mersea · 10/07/2012 09:29

Sorry for bfn when and newbie

I would certainly not leave trying too long before going to the doctors in my experience the process of referral etc can take a while. I would even go so far as to say you have been trying a bit longer than you have to make sure you are not just dismissed. It took me ages to go to the doctors, kind of felt like was admitting defeat but wish I had done it sooner. After all you can still try naturally for the 3 months or so it takes to get the ball rolling with the consultant.

I noticed some spotting last night and more period pains this morning so af is certainly on her way Sad. Feeling even more low than usual as for the first time this month I did allow myself to believe I might be lucky and gave myself the green light to start thinking a bit to the future. It's really hard staying positive and thinking good things, which I know you are supposed (mind over matter and all that) but it just makes the fall a lot harder when it doesn't happen, how do you get the balance?

resipsa · 10/07/2012 09:43

Oh mersea, sorry you're in the dumps. It is hard, I agree. Some days I feel quite content with my little lot and think it won't be so bad if nothing happens in the future but then as soon as I see two siblings playing together, I sink into that desperation mode. The human condition, eh?

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 10/07/2012 09:49

mersea sorry you are having a bad day and af is on her way. It is so hard looking to the future when you have a clear idea what you want in your future but it keeps not happening.

Hope you feel better soon.
