Wowsers Scarlett that is some fast sperm. Maybe I shouldn't bother sticking my legs in the air then as It doesn't sound like those little blighters need any help.

clickingtock · 04/07/2012 13:54

Ooh - Cups - I was told by an MNer that the legs in the air might not help or even worse may hinder, specially if you're retroverted (which I am)...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/07/2012 13:56

My goodness me, no wonder the spermies are so small, any bigger, and they would blow a hole in you Grin

Tock that must be so annoying. Typical consultant talk though, got him out of a tight spot.

Cups I have also heard legs in the air isn't any good.

Oh, and 2 kit kats are definitely in order.

Geeklette · 04/07/2012 13:57

flippin' 'eck scarlett, no wonder so many of our Mr.s miss the jar!

CupcakesAndCocktails · 04/07/2012 13:58

How do you know if your retroverted? Confused Either way I lost interest in putting my legs up about a year into ttc!

JenFraggle · 04/07/2012 14:00

Well I think that you obviously all haven't been putting any effort into this TTC lark. Everyone else manages to get pregnant just by looking at a man so you lot must be right slackers :o

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/07/2012 14:07

Grin Jen

SecretSparkle · 04/07/2012 14:09

Jen didnt we bannish you ages ago? haha

Thanks for these comments ladies, I think last night I forgot that I'm not the only one TTC and I have my brookers to help me!!

I'd like to add to the list...

8. If it doesn't happen straight away, just enjoy practising
Seriously anyone who has ever said that has obviously never tried having sex every other day... for months!! I', struggling to remain intereted every 4 days this cycle!!!

JenFraggle · 04/07/2012 14:12

Read a book or angle yourself so that you can see the tv Sparks?

Geeklette · 04/07/2012 14:14

Geeklette · 04/07/2012 14:14

Geeklette · 04/07/2012 14:14

SecretSparkle · 04/07/2012 14:16

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/07/2012 14:26

Sparks you make me chuckle. That is so true. I much prefer jumping MrMaybe when I don't have to....

keepitgoing · 04/07/2012 14:35

What is retroverted, panics as always put legs up if I can...

maybe you got pg on the pill. Thought there were no spermies around.... Grin

Thank you sparks for that comment - we are not the only ones ttc, so lighten up, keep

So I have less than 7.5 days left at work!!

ScrambledSmegs · 04/07/2012 14:36

Ooh, thought i'd lost you all!

tock my fertility nurse said almost exactly the same thing when I told her I was pregnant! As if being told that I had very low fertility and would probably need IVF (at massive cost) if I wanted another child would make anyone more relaxed and likely to conceive Confused! Unless 'relaxed' is another word for distraught?!

Good luck brookers! I know the pg announcements can get a bit much, but I heard a really good one today. Friends of friends are expecting their first baby, after 4 years of trying Shock Although the long period of ttc must have been awful, how happy must they be?! It can (and will) happen for us all Smile

ScarlettInSpace · 04/07/2012 14:44

Ooooh I've just had a phone call from my GP! I called up last week to see if I could have copies of my blood test results as the twunty consultant hadn't bothered to go through them with me, so she was calling me back about that.

She was really apologetic about what had happened and said she can't see anything in my notes or results that backs up what he said [although she did say she isn't a gynae but she does seem to know a bit about it all]. She said if I'm still not happy after my appt next week then to go back to GP's and she would look at re-referring me to another clinic.

keepitgoing · 04/07/2012 14:51

Ooh Scarlett that's great news!

keepitgoing · 04/07/2012 14:54

smegs and tock the cheek of them! As if they have magical powers so you get pg just by seeing them...

Geeklette · 04/07/2012 14:55

Congrats scarlett! Brooking that you are now on your roll and your ironic BFP will shortly follow now that the cons/GPs are finally on the ball.

ScrambledSmegs · 04/07/2012 15:09

But that's how fertility clinics work, keep, didn't you know? They wave a magic wand and poof! You're diffed! Wink

Great news Scarlett. Thanks for good GP!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/07/2012 15:19

Scarlett that's great news, sp pleased you have your GP on your side!

Princesslovelyboo · 04/07/2012 15:29

Hiya, de lurking ready to join the fun of brooking again :) if you will still have me moody cow that I am

I have been reading up thread, and you have all missed the most important one 9 - Iron your sex nighty Grin

So pleased that you have a brilliant Dr Scarlett

I was told before I got PG with DS1 that I have an introverted (?) womble, but being pg would sort it, not sure if it is still like that though! (its never been mentioned again) and I don't do the leg up thing either cant be bothered

Have to go, toddler demanding attention at the mo, be back soon, I promise!!!

GenericDietCola · 04/07/2012 15:50

Wow there is so much I didn't know about TTC - it's a miracle I got pregnant 5 times, although I did carelessly lose 3 of them, so maybe I have lessons to learn there!

I agree with Imps though re the pregnancy announcements - usually you don't know the stories and there must be millions of people like us going through long-term TTC or other problems. I saw a refreshing one on FB the other week about how they were pleased to finally announce they were expecting. Nice to read the implication that it had taken a while for them.

Scarlett that is a result re your GP - nice to know they actually care! My GP is very lovely like that too.

Sorry for quick post - am at work but I hope you're all going to pull your socks up and crack on with just jolly well getting pregnant now there is a space in the pregnant ladies room (ahem).
