Sparks and boo I have a TTC cupboard (mainly because the drawer is taken up with soaps and wot-nots). I tend to have to rearrange it three times a month - first to keep the OPKs at the front, then the HPTs, then finally grrr the tampons. This month, however, I will not be needing to rearrange after the pee sticks confirm my pregnancy.

I think I have morning sickness already. Is it possible to get pregnancy symptoms at 3 DBO (days before ovulation)? Grin

Geeklette · 25/07/2012 13:11

PS - well done boo on losing a pound already! Just reading about your exercise regime has me feeling knackered. I have put on half a pound, so 12.5 pounds to go to goal.

cartoonface · 25/07/2012 13:20

um does ic mean internet cheapie? ive always got the gist but only just worked out wot it probably stands for Blush
and whats that other thing fre summit oh i dont know. cant believe theres still some im not sure of!

Princesslovelyboo · 25/07/2012 13:25

Yes Geek absolutely it is morning sickness, your body knows what is about to happen so it is preparing early!! Grin

Imps7 · 25/07/2012 13:33

Omg I am so sad - I have just spent 10 mins of my lunch hour Google image searching Cav and scrolling through the results. Sometimes I don't think I ever left my teens.

FRER = First Response Early Response Cartoon!

Biscuits lively to see you as ever!

Right, back to the fun factory.

Imps7 · 25/07/2012 13:34

Actually the second R may be Result??

Geeklette · 25/07/2012 13:34

Cartoon spot on, IC is internet cheapie. FRER is First Response Early Response (I think that's what the ER bit stands for anyway), which is one of the main expensive test kits.

Geeklette · 25/07/2012 13:36

Edited to add that Google thinks FRER stands for Front Range Equine Rescue. Hmmm... Hmm

Imps7 · 25/07/2012 13:38

Omg I can't walk! I've been sitting cross legged and now have the worst pins and needles! I've had to stop and just still while I get my leg function back while making argh argh argh noises. People around me are looki g at me as if I'm a weirdo.

Geeklette · 25/07/2012 13:40

Oh dear imps that's really not funny at all I think it's very mean of people to look at you like you're a weirdo just because of that

Also, cross-post with imps and a google search later, FRER is indeed First Response Early Result. Nothing whatsoever to do with equines.

cartoonface · 25/07/2012 13:41

i put ic in to goggle and it came up with intensive care fairly obvious but totally not what u all mean.
ah rite a first response test i figured it was some form of preggo test.
so are ics generally just the strips u dip in to your cup, tupperware, ramekin

Geeklette · 25/07/2012 13:41

Oh - pressed post too soon, meant to say sparks can you please start thinking of a new fred name soon pretty please? We are in the 900's on this one now. Please and Ta muchly Grin

cartoonface · 25/07/2012 13:43

ah it what context do u use the biscuit? is it just a nice offering or a secret meaning

SecretSparkle · 25/07/2012 14:17

ah I think the biscuit comes from when the general elections were on and the leaders were all asked what biscuits they liked, some debate around that!!1

Ive just had to power walk over to my other office, actually it feels like I was frog marched, and now I have sweat dripping down my back!!! desperately need a shower and still have several hours to go!!!

SweetieDoesIt · 25/07/2012 15:33

Sparks not sure if you got answers but fanjocam is less uncomfortable than smear. I suppose it depends how much rooting around they need todo to find what they are checking. Think I had to wait a couple of weeks for an appointment but I suppose it depends how busy they are.

My reflexology women recommended Angus cactus for me and I have 20 drops in a shot of water every morning, with a break for AF. I haven't noticed any changes in my cycle length or anything, but I have very regular 25 day cycles.

I will post a link to my chart this evening, am trying not to mental and not read too much into my temps. They are still well above cover line but I have been getting a dull ache in womble area so would imagine AF is lurkingSad

Congrats to Dr whims too, well done you Grin

cartoonface · 25/07/2012 16:53

dont u just feel like time stands still at times! my days and weeks are dragging

SecretSparkle · 25/07/2012 17:51

So may H&B order arrived, so im now taking so many supplements I rattle when I walk, although I'm not taking as much as it recommends on the various bottles cus that would be more like a full time pill popping job!!

So my list (can you all cast your expert eyes over it and make sure I'm not doubling up/doing it wrong)

Pregnacare preconception (1 a day)
Evening primrose (1 a day until ovulation)
Flaxseed (1 a day after ovulation)
Angus castus (2 a day)
Raspberry tea leaf (2 a day)
Calcium (1 a day)
Omega (1 a day)

Hmm I think I might be over doing it slightly!!!

SweetieDoesIt · 25/07/2012 18:14

Wow Sparks that is a fair old selection Shock

So here is this months chart, it also shows previous charts and Junes. I may have mentioned I have a new thermometer this month and it has made my chart more peaky this month I think. What do you all think? Can you tell I am mentalling?

Geeklette · 25/07/2012 18:57

cartoon I have had that feeling all day. It wasn't helped by running a report this afternoon that took over 2 hours to complete!

Dammit I thought I'd saved a PDF at home for you sparks but obvs I have baby brain because it's not here (and not at work either). What dose are your agnus castus? Internet 'wisdom' is to stop taking it at ov but I read several really good medical research papers (scientific journal type things, so I actually give them credence) stating that AC is fine to take throughout your cycle. I can't find a single bit of scientific (ie not simply anecdotal) evidence to stop taking it at ov.

I stopped just after ov my first cycle of taking them and managed to convince myself that it was 'withdrawal' that caused my early bleed/first cp. AC reputedly assists with raised progesterone levels, which is how it helps prolong your LP. I now take it throughout my cycle, without any breaks. After 3 months of taking it, Month Squiffy went down from 54 days to 35, which is just 4 days longer than Month Normal. I take a total of 1200mg of powdered (capsule) AC per day and 500mg of tincture (1ml) in cold water.

The rest of your cocktail sounds beneficial, though I'm not sure what some of them do (flaxseed, rasp leaf tea and calcium) in particular. What issues are you trying to address? I take a bit of a cocktail too, but mine is very different from yours, and all geared around trying to bring my cycles into some form of regularity and lengthen my LP.

SecretSparkle · 25/07/2012 19:57

geek love your super long posts!! So I'm not sure of the AC does cus it's upstairs and I'm super lazy my mum is due any minute!! I guess I'm trying regulate my cycles (and ideally reduce them) and increase my CM!! Calcium is, er, for good egg quality I think (and for good teeth and nails) and raspberry leaf is suppose to strengthen your womb lining Hmm and encourage implantation!!

SecretSparkle · 25/07/2012 19:58

Oh and the flaxseed is to replace the EPO after ovulation Hmm

NoMaybeAboutIt · 25/07/2012 20:20

Just a quick post ladies as I am making dinner!

Is raspberry leaf tea not used to induce labour?

Also Geek from a science point of view, just cos it's in a journal doesn't men it's any good. There is a lot of crap science out there Grin and I am a crap scientist

Face I have felt like that this week. When you're waiting for n appointment, time stands still.

MrMaybe has been a superstar tonight. Lush bath bombs, co-codamol, wine nod an M&S dinner. Ooooh, and Sparks he came home with Mollie Makes Grin

Geeklette · 25/07/2012 20:42

maybe don't worry, I know there's a lot of crap science, though I'm sure you are not a crap scientist! Without having the paper to link to I really can't back up my feeling that a lot of work and understanding went into it, I vaguely recall that there was a large study group and an equally large control group, but to me it beat the hell out of a lot of women on baby&bump.com saying 'this woman on B&B.com says...'.

sparks glad you enjoy my waffling long posts hehe

STILL trying to work from home, have been roped into doing that 'quick' job again, this time told my boss it would be nearer 2 hours to complete. So far I have waited over 2 hours just for users' bloody sessions to disconnect, before I can even start doing my work. Humph.

Geeklette · 25/07/2012 20:44

Meant to say, loving MrMaybe's idea of pampering Grin

JenFraggle · 25/07/2012 20:48

Raspberry leaf doesn't induce labour, it was thought to but there was no evidence for it. It strengthens the uterus so is supposed to help to reduce the second stage of labour.

My midwife was pleased that I was taking it, she said it was good stuff. My second stage was 1.5 hours but that was down to very sporadic contractions, there were very few pushes in that time so if I'd had regular contractions, it would have been much quicker.
