Yay more drunken boo messages!!

Princesslovelyboo · 22/07/2012 23:08

How desperate does it make you look when you put ice in your wine cos the fridge ain't cooled it fast enough?

Maghribia · 23/07/2012 00:02

Just checking in, lovelies!

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 07:11

boo haha I'd say it makes you look perfectly normal!

mags hey how are you getting on?

So I have a question? I was reading one of my books last night ' what to expect before your expecting' I've never gone into the 'what happens if it doesn't happen' section because I assumed that I wouldn't need it!! Anyway I was reading and PCOS and now I'm super worried that I have it considering my cycles have now gone to 39 days!! Would i be wrong to go to the docs about my cycles? I mean I know it's too early to talk to them about why we're not conceiving but can I go to them about just my health in general?!

Maghribia · 23/07/2012 07:23

Sparks, I'm not too bad thanks, still unpregnant though :(

Definitely go to the dr about your cycles - mind you some are more helpful than others and most of the gps are not at all clued up about pcos (speaking from experience of living in various boroughs and having had pcos for years) but it's definitely worth getting on the system. It's quite a fight for the clomid etc if you need it, so best to start early. Having said that, 39 days is not extreme - before clomid and metformin my cycles could be up to 100 days. My last one was 31 days. I think anything under 40 days is considered OK. But worth having a word anyway, even if it is early, they don't need to know that! ;-)

keepitgoing · 23/07/2012 07:35

sparks you are clearly ovulating so I don't think they'd be worried about longish cycles tbh.

How long is it now? You could add a few months if you were keen to get things moving, but it is a but stressful doing all the tests, I'd be inclined to leave it a few months more.

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 07:55

We've been trying for nearly 12 months (august) but we know it's only 8 cycles of well time, charted cycles (this being the 9th) we said we'd consider going to the docs sept/October!!

I am having signs that I'm ovulating but my cycles have gone from 21 days to 39 in 12 months Hmm I don't want to make things more stressful than they already are!!

keepitgoing · 23/07/2012 08:24

I'd compromise and go after two more cycles.

Princesslovelyboo · 23/07/2012 10:06

Ooh sparks are you me? We started trying last August too, and my cycles have been 4-6 weeks as well! I have started charting and using OPKs to make sure i know when I am OVing, i think this is I am cd1 of cycle 10! We don't have a plan yes as to when we will try and get advice, we think we will be laughed out of the place as we already have 2 DSs (only one with DH though and he took 2 years to conceive)

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 10:34

ttc twinnies!! I've got no other DC's though :(

Morning all

Boo I am so sorry she got you Sad I hope you have lots of wine at the ready. In fact go and have a cocktail, the sun is shining.

Sparks if you are worried, then go and see the GP. But at the same time, you do know you are ovulating. It would be interesting to find out how your cycles have gotten so much longer over the last year though.

Mags so good to see you lovely, how are things?

Keep are you all recovered after your HSG?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/07/2012 11:11

Froot! Cross post lovely, how are you?

AF is also due Thursday here too! Boobs still sore, feel very tired, funny taste in my mouth. I feel like I have been eating that stuff you put on fingernails to stop you biting them. Temp is still up too.

What test did you use?

JenFraggle · 23/07/2012 11:15

Frootz was it a pink or blue dye test? I've heard that the blue ones are prone to evap lines but the pink ones are usually more reliable.

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 11:24

Froot How exciting, I think ICs are normally pink dye tests so are less likely to show evap lines BUT you did read after the proper window so my sensible head is saying to approach things with caution my mad brooker head is saying, test again, and do it now!!!

Maybs if your temps are still high you know that means right?!

I've booked an appt, purely because if I dont I'll just keep stressing!! I have to see a locum, so I can go all sorts of crazy while Im there because they dont know me :o I literally just want to discuss the difference in my cycle lengths, I dont want to talk about TTC or anything like that until we've hit the 12 month mark. Although I wouldn't mind also know why every month I get these stupid phamtom symptoms all though I suspect that the diagnosis will be 'pure insanity' and I'll be sections by the end of the appointment!!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/07/2012 11:29

That's good you have an appointment Sparksn it will put your mind at rest and let you get things off your chest. When is the appointment for?

No, I'm not differed eventhough MrMaybe thinks I am as my norks and nips are huge and the dog will not leave me alone

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 11:33

Its at 4.30 this afternoon, so leaving work early :o

I wonder if pup would react in the same way a hpt does and go all stripey dont piss on your dog maybe I think I might cry with happiness if you are differed maybe but will still bug you for the foreseeable future on account of us being identical, which means that I shall surely get diffed next month so I can catch up with you!!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/07/2012 11:38

Wohoo for early hometime Sparks

I promise not to wee on Otis. But he did wee on my bag yesterday (he didn't mean to, he was having a wee and my bag was in his way). Though I do believe this would make for an interesting experiment. All in the name of science.....

You never bug me Sparks. We shall have twin brooking babies too.

Frrot seen as it was an IC, how about you dip one in some water, leave it 20 mins and then compare the two. That's what I would do but I blatently am a geek
