Progesterone levels not on day 21?

Hi
Been feeling poop lately and had several tests done. Anyhow, I thought progesterone needed to be done on day 21, but didn't want to tell GP how to do their job, they already make me feel like a hypochondirac.
So, progesterone results are back and the lab asked if it was day 21. (grrrr)

Anyway, it was day 29 in a 30 day cycle.
Any one know what normal reference range is for progesterone in end luteal phase? I can only find references to mid luteal phase. (Units are nmol/L)

dont know the answer but unfortunately you were too late. 21 days isnt correct either it should be 7 days before your period, which is not the same unless you have v regular 28 day cycle. i suspect levels will be too low at day 29 to say anything useful but willing to be proven wrong.

I agree. The reason they do it on day 21 - of a 28 day cycle- is because it should be about 7 days after you ovulate and 7 days before AF is due. Progesterone peaks about that time - I believe over 30 indicates ovulation and some clinics prefer 50+ but mine were happy with a result of 28! I don't think the result on day 29 will tell you anything. You'd need them taking around day 23 if you have a 30 day cycle. Have a strop and get them to repeat them! I hope you get sorted!
