This is my first post so please be gentle with me.

I'm on cycle 4 and a few days ago, DPO 14 I got a very faint BFP with a first response hpk. Because it was a faint line I did the test again the day after, another line ever so slightly darker. I left it a day and POAS again and the line had almost gone.

Today is the day AF is due, DPO 17, and I have some spotting, this isn't usual for me, I'm usually either on or off at the beginning of AF.

My question is....is this too late to be implantation bleeding, would that have come before I got the positive test? Or could it be, and I am still pg.

I think I might have to face facts it's over again this month, I was just hoping you could help me grasp at straws.
xx

Oh dear that sounds like a cp to me but of course it's not over until AF arrives. I think I had similar a few months ago, (though never tested), period eventually came after protracted period of spotting. To me though I was pleased that I had actually (I think) conceived.
Sorry if it's bad news but best of luck. I'm TTC 8 months now and it's no fun.

I thought that might be the case. Felt a little to good to be true.
Thanks Christelle

Sounds like my experience of an early loss I'm afraid, but the concentration of your urine makes a difference too so you can get different results on different days at this v. early stage. I would prepare yourself for AF but if it hasn't arrived or hasn't arrived properly in a couple of days then test again.

On the plus side - it shows that you are capable of conceiving which is actually a big positive. My understanding is that women who conceive but then lose have a really good chance of a successful pregnancy; it's more problematic if you can't conceive at all.

I’m aware that this is a 10yo post, so not likely to get an answer, but I’m in the exact same boat and curious how it turned out for you.
