EPO and bleeding/spotting

Hi all. I started taking 3,000mg of EPO (to increase EWCM) last month up to getting a positive OPK then started this month from CD1. I've had spotting since Wednesday (CD 10). At first it was bright red with a couple of small clots, yesterday brown, then today mostly brown with a bit of red. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know if it has anything to do with the EPO? I'm due to ovulate probably Wednesday next week.

Thanks in advance!

Hi - I've been taking it too this month (though 2000 rather than 3000). I've ovulated a day earlier than expected according to my temps, and yesterday had some brown spotting. I was hoping that it's ovulation bleeding! Off to ask dr google...

Interesting. I had a small amount of bleeding on the day I OV'd this cycle as well and it was my first cycle taking EPO. I assumed it was ovulation bleeding as well but I've never had it before this cycle.

It does say that EPO causes uterine contractions. Perhaps these contractions cause the small amounts of blood (from normal ovulation bleeding) to be pushed out whereas normally the amounts would be so small that they would stay within the uterus until they were flushed out by your period. Just a guess although that wouldn't explain the issue described in the OP, that sounds like something altogether different.
