anyone else fed up with the sympathetic looks and comments like "your trying too hard" or " once you stop you'll fall " if i hear it one more time i'll scream. Yes it has happened to some people but when you've been trying for so long it's very hard to just switch off and at nearly 35 i don't wanna just leave it to chance anymore!! These comments usually come from people who are so ignorant to understand how hard it is for ladies ttc every month. anyway rant over but does anyone else get annoyed with this

I do sympathise, but after having a sister and two best friends who had IVF without success for years, who then gave up on the idea of children and THEN fell pg I'm less sceptical now!

and then once you do get pregnant, you will get "see, i told you that you just needed to relax" with a smug grin like they are the purveyors of fertility.

there's nothing you can do other than smiling with a glazed and bored look. they will never, ever understand what you're going through.

And I don't understand how you could stop trying. Even if I stopped using OPKs and temping I would still examine my CM and know where I was in my cycle.

I think when people say they have stopped trying, what they mean is that they have told their husband that they stopped trying. I bet every woman who 'has stopped trying' gets very flirty for about one week a month.
